Proper Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon tackle this. Until 16:00 today I had no idea WTF these things were either. Opened the fridge door and there's a pack of bacon lardons. I obviously sniggered. But basically, they're just bits of bacon. Not sure why we aren't just frying bacon and then cutting it with scissors.
