No announcement today? I'll call Ripley'sThere's only 4 certainties in life, that's taxes, death, no 115 award and @pudge dipping into the thread and quickly back out again.
Indeed. It's a typical Delaney sentence and further evidence of his lack of journalistic skills. Total rubbish. The Independent understands that the APT settlement may even represent an end in itself.....
I despise this sentence that has found it's way into journalism, it's a way of offering a pure opinion but making it appear that it's fact!
Sky have a similar one when a presenter says "sources have told me...." that source could be the fukin tea lady who just had an opinion.
tell you em you have a new exhibit for them, richard masters is going on display as worlds biggest ****No announcement today? I'll call Ripley's

The falling dominoes that could finally deliver a verdict on Man City’s 100+ charges
A decision is finally expected soon on the infamous Manchester City case, with the recent settlement in the APT case possibly foreshadowing the end of the sagawww.independent.co.uk
A nice 1960s song from the Turtles, which I think you knew. ;)Friday on my mind
When Edu was at Arsenal…
Arsenal sporting director Edu on Man City & Guardiola: “There are things that unfortunately I cannot say what I feel.
5 certainties you missed the certainty that the rags and dippers are cunts, always were cunts and always will be cunts. There's only 4 certainties in life, that's taxes, death, no 115 award and @pudge dipping into the thread and quickly back out again.
When talking about arsenal it should always be remembered that they were the ones who introduced the concept of employee benefit loans into football (ie wages disguised as loans to avoid tax) under dein and wenger (all came out when ray parlour was getting divorced iirc) . Neither FA or Premier League looked at it despite the fact that the accounts must have been extremely dodgy assuming they incorporated these "loans". It was the EBT set up by Rangers (to pat loans to players) that led to them being relegated to 4th division in Scotland. He apparently also couldn't say anything about the "void and unenforceable" rules including "interest free shareholder loans" Arsenal were getting from their owner which we now know were assessed and ruled that they should have been subject to "fair market value" which the PL let them get away with for years whilst at the same time behaving like absolute cunts towards our owners (unlawful, unlawful, unfair) and blocking our business transactions. The hypocrisy of these cunts knows no bounds.
Not a personal endorsement I hasten to stateLube assists both parties...and facilitates a deeper ingress. We should be looking to damage some internal organs.

Delaney is a total moron. He claims we are “owned by Abu Dhabi.” Yet our owner has been accused of topping up sponsorships from the state owned airline Etihad with his own money. If we were state owned he wouldn’t have to do that. You can’t have it both ways.He indicates fuck all really besides banging on about state ownership which doesn't apply to us anyway.
"On the City side, some companies are even known to have been put off potential deals because the case is dragging on.", so which companies are these Miggy?
It's journalistic bullshitery. The one that does my head in is when they say "It is reported that...". Reported by who? The Associated Press or some lonely Liverpool fan in Tromso on his blog read by 2 other developmentally challenged fuckwits? The Independent understands that the APT settlement may even represent an end in itself.....

“It says much that people in the game have started to refer to the collapse of the Chinese espionage trial, and wondered whether there will be government involvement given the geopolitical dimensions though the club’s Abu Dhabi ownership”I'm not sure what your take on the China ref is. I take it as being that our Govt recognise that we need all the economic friends we can garner hence the collapse of the Chinese spy trial by the Govt's refusal to act. In the same way they do not to upset the rulers of Abu Dhabi by a potential humiliation if a certain verdict was delivered, We need their investment on a whole range of infrastructure projects.
I’m howling at the moon…I'm calling Halloween or Bonfire Night!
Fact: The new IFR will have absolutely zero involvement in the case. And that the IFR will intervene outside of its remit having just been set up is another fantasy conspiracy theory. Utter nonsense. He is not saying he knows what the decision will be but he has introduced a new element into the decision making progress.
Fact: A Football Regulator has recently been appointed though his appointment has been known for a long time .Said appointee is a long-term Labour supporter and donor whose background has been in sports marketing. Do you really think both he and his Govt nominee are going to let the PL screw up a relationship with a major economic investor. It's nothing to do with fantasy conspiracy theory nonsense it's the way the word works
