The film part that disturbed you for life...

I’ve said this before on similar threads; it’s an absolute powerhouse of a film and one of my favourites, yet I’ve only seen it the once. Never had the fortitude to watch it again.

Seeing Ray Winstone in the Gary Oldman film (based on his own upbringing apparently) Nil By Mouth, still disturbs me now, thinking about it.

A very very difficult watch.

When i was in Uni, me and my mate went to watch a Japanese film called Audition by Takeshi Miike at the Odeon (think it was Odeon, anyway) on Oxford Rd. We didn't know anything about it, it was part of a series of Japanese movies they were showing, it started as a normal romantic movie i guess but then goes mental at the end - the lead woman is drugging the lead man and sawing off his feet with piano wire....yeah insane

Not seen it for while, so don’t know if I watched it now it would affect me, but I remember jumping a lot during Wolf Creek
It felt like a line was crossed over in that movie in terms of not just shocking the viewer but mocking the victims.

I gave up half way through that out of pure disgust that anyone would make it in the way they did. As far as I knew it was based on a true story (maybe I was wrong though and over reacted?).

I only watched it once, a long time ago, didn’t want to watch it again. I think you’re right.

La cabina
Scared the life out of me as a kid, phone box doors were heavy!
A Spanish short horror film about being trapped in a telephone box from 1972.
It's available on YouTube now we're safe and there's no telephone boxes anymore!
Someone was trapped in a telephone box for over 50 years!
How did they survive?

Winston in Tim Roth's War Zone gives it a ten-break ( watched it by accident)

*i believe they had to stop filming at one point cause it was effecting the cast's health.
