Agree on KDB and Laporte. Madrid game aside, we are not playing anywhere near well enough to beat Bayern or Atletico currently (I'm not going to comment on the possibility of another Liverpool CL tie as we could play them in the CL for another decade and not be allowed to come through it...

    United (a) post-match thread

Agree, I'd love us to win both the CL pot (to stick two fingers up to FFP crooks) and the FA cup but can't see us winning either on tonight's performance and given the CL mafia will see key decisions go against us if we do play well enough to win.

Actually this is an excellent shout, City have gone soft and short, partly for the passing game, low centre of gravity posession style, but we seriously lack enough fighters, height and eyeballing motherf**kers. Our complete absence of aggression/success at corners is a snapshot of this...

I hope you're right. Can't help feeling a stank out the place derby loss is never the best mental preparation for a Madrid 2nd leg though. If Madrid sucker punch us out and we meet Utd in the FA Cup for another dose of this, Pep and the club not going to look so clever I fear.

4 shots on target, all dirge

I feel your pain, but we've had 3 shots on target to their 5 all game, despite 73.5% posession , we've not been good enough.

86% possession last 10 minutes but I'd be more likely to score on the high street with a potato down the exhaust of a Fiat 500 then this f**king lot.

City scouting team need to take a look at themselves, Cancelo, Rodri, Mendy, even Mahrez to some extent, are not world-class talent and never will be.

As numerous others have mentioned independently here, we miss the following enormously (who have not been replaced with like for like quality: Kompany Laporte Sane Fernaninho (effectively as he's on loan in defence) Cumulatively this is the spine and the best wild card pacey winger in the league.

1 shot from City in that half. Not in the least surprised, we've had issues taking bloody shots for weeks.

You'd expect so after that dirge. I'm starting to wonder if whatever it is that he used to say (as witnessed in the season before last in the Amazon series) is no longer having the desired affect. Which suggests two things, a few players are the wrong side of past their best, or some no longer...

We're making Utd look like Liverpool here, which is doubly irritating. Baffled why we seem to fear these idiots this season. Badly need a new centre back in the summer. Confidence comes from the back, and we're brittle there this season.

    United (a) pre-match thread

You might be right, but I think this is going to be a saucy one with a good reaction from the players after the Sheffield Weds game stank the place out. I think it'll be 1-4, with a Foden wonder goal, and the only goal for Utd going in after their social media following unexpectedly let off a...

United 6th in the league and 15 points behind, if we're not smashing this lot into next week every time we play them whilst they're this cack, then to my mind, that's a missed opportunity. Hoping Bernie ignores the 'tap ins only' instructions again and launches a few javelins from distance to...

    Liverpool thread 2019/20

Mind blowing that Agnelli is foolish enough to publicly comment on this given the cracks currently appearing in FFP and the cartel clubs. Very telling comment and offers a glimpse of just how righteous the supposed 'history' big clubs are about having true competition. The arrogance is breathtaking.

Agree. Current form, no Allison, no 'worldie' Henderson, Bournemouth will be shooting on sight let alone Atletico, what have they got to lose?

Well remembered. Pundits were musing Pep was taking the piss with this and I absolute loved that handshake and wild-eyeballs dripping in sarcasm. Made me love Pep even more, the reffing in that game was a sour flan disgrace.

    Sheffield Wednesday (A) - FA Cup R5 Post-Match Thread

Strange watch that. There's a clear instruction to not shoot until our players are close enough to ask the opposition keeper for permission. Bizarre at times watching our players scuttle around trying to find someone to pass to rather than fcuking burying it. Makes me wonder if Bernardo's...
