why do they throw the cups this and last season?

That was my point, they throw the cups stupidly no matter on league position. They aren’t out because they’re scared of Bournemouth. They’re out because they disrespect each domestic cup every year.

If your comparing Wigan away where we went fairly strong and lost 1-0 playing on a chewed up bobbly rugby pitch, to Chelsea away I'm done.

Try reading posts properly in future.

The irony for them is they had a strong team out, for the first time in the competition and still got dumped out of the cup. You’re making out they are out because they are scared of Bournemouth.

I think they are scared of dropping points and not beating our 100pts,they desperately want that

Maybe, I’d have thought they might have gone even weaker against Chelsea then. I think they stumbled to the round they got to then tried to stumble through some more. They’re out and good riddance

Alisson isn’t that big of a loss for the atletico game to be fair. Atletico don’t intend on coming out of their half. Pity they’re playing Bournemouth this weekend and not a team like Burnley

Nope he is one of their key players and has improved them considerably. Good job for them they are far in front.

Alisson being out for the Atletico game is huge in my opinion. Atletico will get 2-3 decent chances to score and you'd bank on them converting one of those with Adrian in net.

It won't happen but imagine if they dropped points vs Bournemouth, won't affect the league at all but that lot would start bricking it for the Atletico game onwards.

Yeah, if Atletico can get an early goal they're very likely to go through. As much as both us and the dippers love to brag about our keepers, Oblak is arguably the best shot stopper in the world and even with it being a "European night at Anfield" it won't be easy for them to score on him.

Losing Allison is a big blow for the Dippers, Adrian has a mistake in him as per the Chelsea game. If I was an Athletico forward I would be shooting on site on Wednesday.
