Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

We all know the Bundesliga and Bayern were not the team they would become. Selling Kagawa and Sahin was good business, but Dortmund had the money and opportunity to replace Lewandowski and Gotze. Gotze's replacements Kagawa/Mkhitaryan=30 million Lewandowski's replacements Immobile/Ramos=25...

    Liverpool Thread 2014/15

Fair enough. Don't worry we will right the terrible wrong we did and beat them in the FA Cup like we should have done in 1990. In all seriousness though I think Arsenal are the favourites.

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

Well they are still in the cups, which I think will keep Klopp in his job for a bit, but there is no excuse. It's a terrible performance from him. Funny that Arsenal fans wanted Wenger gone and the two men a lot of my friends really wanted were Klopp and Moyes.

    Liverpool Thread 2014/15

Do you mean Arsenal or Liverpool? I know Arsenal have a terrible record against Manchester United and in Manchester in general, but I think the win against you is a turning point. If you did mean Liverpool why? They had no trouble thrashing United last season at Old Trafford, but then again lots...

No we don't. I have faith in Arsenal. Plus I would much rather face Bolton at home than Liverpool.

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

It's much more than that. They have only really lost two players from their great team in 2012. Gotze they got 30 million for and were able to invest all of that. Lewandowski they stupidly decided to let go on a free. There signings have been awful. Lots of average players bought for a lot of...

    Liverpool Thread 2014/15

Not sure how his tactical stubbornness cost them the the title. He made a big tactical error against Chelsea, but there is nothing stubborn about making a mistake. Liverpool had blown away Arsenal and even City (City recovered and should have won) in the first half. His mistake was not...

    Aston VIlla - relegation?

Your forgot to add Palace to that list. When it comes to poor performances we are determined to be up there with the best or perhaps the worst. Guess that's the gamble. Only chance he has of making his money back. I agree it is very, very risky.

    La Liga 2014/15

Not enough against another top team if they play it smart. If you go blow to blow with them then that's crazy. Neymar, Messi and Suarez best front three in the world though.

    La Liga 2014/15

Well they had a lot of other players. Yaya was their defensive midfielder in 2009. They would field 11's where 9/11 players were world class players. Xavi was always their (and Spain's most important player) and they had Iniesta. Abidal, Puyol, Alves in his prime were all a lot better than what...

    Aston VIlla - relegation?

I thought the same last season. They were the worst team we played. Annoyed we lost to them this season, but they generally defend quite well for a team near the bottom and every so often Benteke, Weimann or Gabby does something to win a game. I think that will be enough to keep them up. I get...

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

That's a huge part, but equally important was Arsenal being rubbish at the start of the season. They were very lucky to get through Besiktas, lucky to beat my team Palace, lucky to draw with Everton, drew with Leicester, actually played well in a 2-2 draw with City and then Villa, then back to...

This weekends other Prem Games 31 Jan-1 Feb

Arsenal and Liverpool have both looked very good recently. Liverpool have gone under the radar a bit. I keep saying it, but I think Europe is going to play a key factor. If all the teams played the same number of matches would expect City to get the most points out of the remaining games, but...

    Dwight Yorke ...complete cockwomble.

It annoys me how certain teams spending are highlighted like City/Tottenham and they have completely glossed over United/Liverpool. Even Arsenal get dragged over hot coals due to their spending, when Liverpool have spent a lot more in recent years. As for United they have 200 million in just...

Why Wenger? Should probably be more than enough against Villa, but why change the winning formula. Even with Sanchez out why put Ozil/Carzola out wide instead of Chamberlain? EDIT To be fair to Wenger it seems Chamberlain is out injured or rested too. Good decision for Sanchez/Chamberlain to...

    Chelsea Thread 2014/15

I will reply if you want a proper debate and won't get offended. You were dominant, but not creating anything. You had control of the game and there was virtually no chance of losing, but if things stayed the same you were not likely to score either. Changing the shape or even bringing on...

    De Bruyne?

Exactly. Wenger loans players to British teams that play the style of football he wants to see them continue playing. He also gives them moves to areas that often they have a connection with. Nobody is going to be perfect and have a 100% success rate. Now compare that to Kakuta who has been in...

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

True Klopp's desire to buy players that only press and can run has caused the problems. There is a lack of technique. I am not sure it's a good thing in the long run that so many German clubs have copied the Dortmund model. Last season they had a lot of injuries though. It's not about one bad...

    Chelsea Thread 2014/15

I am definitely not trying to be abrasive and even less so offensive, but you have to give an honest opinion. I could be wrong and making stupid points, but they are not to offend, but it is how I saw the game. Always felt it was better to give an honest opinion. It's because Chelsea's squad...

    La Liga 2014/15

Zlatan was the best even last year in my opinion. Not sure how he is doing now but the stats suggest not so well and he is 33. Yeh I agree Messi is a forward, but Benzema has been better than Suarez this season and better than Suarez in general. It is close between Aguero and Suarez, but given...
