According to SSN... Tevez wants to go!

Tevez has done a great deal for the club. Thanks to him and now it is time for the next chapter. I have no idea where he'll go or who will replace him, but I'm not at all worried. We're sitting on a much better team now than when he arrived and we have every right to be excited that even more...

Sergio Romero (GK) & Alessio Cerci (MF) & Stefan Savic (CB)

I would welcome players from the Serie A. Mancini is no dope. He will buy quality.

So now we have a thread that is complaining about other threads? Brilliant.

    Falcao

Falcao would make a great signing for teams that can offer good service. Brilliant one pop finisher with either foot and good in the air. He's also a first class person and team player. He only went out and touched up the Europa League for a record goal haul. He has 39 goals in 41...

    How about a Yank?

Remind me which country won the USA - England group at the World Cup? If they are all crap what does that say about England?

Carlos Tevez sticks to his guns over leaving Manchester City

That Sun article is not backed up by anything in the Argentine or Spanish media right now. If he had made a statement like that today on Argentine Fox radio, then there would be something in their written press about it. There is nothing. So I suspect it is doo doo.

    Most improved player this season?

Kompany and Lescott for me. Kompany has gone from being really good to simply amazing. As someone else noted, Lescott has endured a lot of grief and risen above it all.

Bye Bye Tevez, your number is up.

So, has he ever not given 110% anywhere he's played? He always has and he always will. And long may he wear the City strip!!

    Tevez comments in papers tomorrow...

Just a few thoughts. First - he has not left the club. Second - if he decides to leave he has paved the road to go properly. It won't be melodramatic this go round. Third - if he decides to stay you can guaranty he'll give everything he has for the team. That is just the way he is as a...

Team for tmo (from a coach at city)

That should be the team. And I suspect it will be the team.

-- Fri May 13, 2011 8:06 pm --

Probably shouldn't have been in the semi-final then either. How'd that one work out?

    Blue Moon Rising

I like it was last season. More fitting that it show some some of the agony that has been associated with the club. Guaranty that it will result in more stateside fans of the club. Americans love a good rags to riches story.

    Video of the Poznan yest?

If you go to the extended highlights of the game on the club's official site, you'll see that shot included in the middle of the clip.

    Where was Tevez?

I don't think anyone can assume anything about why Tevez was not there. Good or bad, we just do not know. And I think it is especially bad form of those who are assuming he simply doesn't care. Like any other player he wants to win. He's shown that time and time and time again.

    Dzeko looked like Samaras yesterday

Yes, surely he has no business being on the field. He only led a crap team to the Bundesliga title. He's dreadful. Heard the same crap about Tevez when he was signed. Dzeko is no Tevez, but the guy has already proven he can play at the highest level.

    Tevez demolishes his PB...

You have to put it in a bit of perspective. Tevez was an amazing player for Boca. He was very young and not their main cog. At West Ham they used him more sparingly until the end of the season. At Corinthians he was the main man more or less the entire time he was there. The goals flowed...

    So do you believe yet?

I think a lot of the players have the requisite experience. Silva has won the World Cup and the Euros. Tevez has won just about everything there is to win save the World Cup. Balotelli has won titles. Viera. Yaya. There's enough experience there winning things. But I guess there is still...

Anyone notice how Ferguson looked away and down and scratched about when saying he didn't know why Rooney wanted to leave. It was noticably awkward.

    Mancini: "no contact with Rooney"

Mancini said exactly what he should say. From City's perspective this needs to be treated discretely unless and until he is signed, sealed and delivered.

    Operation: DESTABILIZE

Agree it is a no risk signing. But I'm not sure it is the right no risk signing. But since it is no risk who cares. That being said - 1 - No matter what the damage is done to United. He's leaving. And it is obvious he's leaving because of the debts on that club. One thing that was so...
