Cant see Rags letting Rooney go to City after Tevez - Real is his most likely destination - if he comes so be it but lets just not get too far ahead of ourselves

It is interesting that all the clubs apart from City have commented that they would like to sign him

What interests me is that Rooney now HAS to go in January, I firmly believe Ferguson went public yesterday to ensure the fans give him dog's abuse and force him out because he couldn't risk his value depreceating any further.

As I see it, we are in pole postiion for a January signing of that scale. Furthermore, if he doesn't go in January, he will then go for a pittance in the summer to any club with so little on his contract.

There's Win/Wins all over this one no matter where you look. Talk of 50-70m is laughable in January. We will pay the most money but even then I can't see much more than 35m. If he goes to the summer you could see him go for 15m.

My sides can't stand much more of this.

Bang on mate. And what's even funnier is the arrogant, hypocritical old twat still refuses to see what's right in front of his nose.
The monster he created turning on him...no longer able to use the rag name as the be-all and end-all when it comes to signing players.
All his "values" and vanity thrown back in his face.
I genuinely believe that even after signing Tevez, the heirarchy at the swamp is still so self-obsessed,conceited and aloof when it comes to "their position" in the footballing world-that they simply refused to be arsed about us.
Like the Romans-"we are Manchester United.MANCHESTER UNITED!!!!!!"

No matter what happens-we are winners in all of this.
For the first time,we've got thier fans and outsiders now begining to question the very essence of their club..

And as I keep saying...without doing a thing.

He will go to Real almost certain - i think he wants to get awaqy from the press and certainly in La Liga players tend to be left alone off the pitch and indiscretions either ignored or go unreported.

Putting him into City would only make the press coverage worse.

For me its going to be Coleen who decides if he goes to La Liga or stays here in the prem.

Agree it is a no risk signing. But I'm not sure it is the right no risk signing. But since it is no risk who cares. That being said -

1 - No matter what the damage is done to United. He's leaving. And it is obvious he's leaving because of the debts on that club. One thing that was so telling in Fergiscum's pc was that he made it clear they'd never discussed salary with Rooney on a new contract. So Rooney going to them in August and telling them he wanted out was not all about money. It was about his personal ambition to win. He thinks Utd is in decline. And a look at their recent signings shows why. We sign Silva. They sign a homeless guy. Barcelona sign Villa. They sign Smalling. Madrid sign Ozil. They sign Hernandez.

2 - Guy is a great player. But City has a better version of him in Tevez already. No one complains about depth. But I'm just noting that it isn't as if he fills some massive hole in our team.

3 - What I think City needs more than anything is a classic one touch goal poacher. We have Milner whipping in cross after cross. He's put more balls in the box than any other league player. We have yet to score a headed goal all season. If the idea is to build the most complete team, then Rooney doesn't address that type of need. You could argue Luis Suarez or Fernando Torres would address that hole in our team. Rooney, not really. He's a withdrawn striker who is fantastic but needs more shots than a true goal poacher should to score.

4 - Obviously the management wants that top 5 marketing type of player. Rooney fits that bill. And the fact he's English lowers the risk of signing him massively. The fact he's English also cements City as the place for English talent to play - AJ, Rooney, Barry, Hart, Milner, Richards, etc. Amazing really.

He HAS to go in January because if not he can buy out his contract for peanuts and sell himself to whoever he wants in the summer. This would mean Ushited would only get a few million for him and not the £35-50 million they'd be hoping for in Jan. I hope he stays 'till summer and buys his contract out. Imagine the Scum fans crying into their beers when they find out they only got £5-6 million for him! But this probably won't happen.

....okay okay a fully fit 24 goin on 25 year old Roonsta would light up any team in prem truth be told buh' has anyone stopped to think wot it would take to man-manage the kid ? ! ? in my personal opinion Arsene Wenger is probz the only other gaffa that could succesfully man-manage the kid if they could somehow broker a deal.

Twitcher arry is another that could easily handle him tho fundin would be their biggest hurdle.

It'l be chelsea or arsenal.

With Coleen n' certain domestic commitments i think its a no-no even entertainin an over-seas move.

Furthermore i've no time for tha lil scallywag but do feel he aint as thick as many would like to believe n' thus will end up havin quite a financial say in his beloved Evton football club's future 'one day' !!!

He's easy to man-manage.

He wants to get out on the pitch and win.

Point him in the right direction and that's it.

Maybe building some granny flats at COMS could be the deal clincher - at least when he aint playing football we know where he is

he's a great player, not a top 10 world player but maybe top 50. i rate Tevez higher than him pre City and now.

having said that, i like the idea of them being destablised by this whole ordeal, whether we are part of it or not we must applaud Shrek for being the agent of their own demise.

now, asking me if i'd take him. i would say no. we already have a player who's on a par or even better than shrek. and i dont want to give them scum money to start rebuilding.

if he goes on webster's ruling so fair dos. i'd take that and put him on the bench since he doesnt cost us a limb. anything higher than 10mil i'd rather other clubs prise him away from baconface.
