I have an 8GB iPhone, and I find the hard drive very rarely fills up. I have a 5 or 6 albums on at a time, a whole season of a TV show, and about 30 hours of podcasts all on it at one time. Not brilliant for long trips, but that's what the iPod classic is for. You get the touch if you want games...
