    Mahamadou Susoho

Seems an interesting player who is definitely in the mould of a Pep midfielder. Read up that he's also from Catalonia which I'm sure will mean Pep will have a slight soft spot for him. Anyone have any more info on him and how he's been doing for the academy / how highly rated he is?

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2023/24

I have thought similar myself. In that advanced wing back role Walker has played a few times this year he could be really dangerous. He has a very similar style / gate to Cancelo but seems more powerful. Just question marks on him defensively and how that would work out.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

Don't really know what people see when they watch football at times but he was important for us today. Really good at breaking the lines and progressing the ball from deep which is great when foden is picking up those spaces centrally. By no means a perfect performance but still offers a lot and...

    Aston Villa (A) - Wed 6th Dec, 20:15 | PL | Pre Match Thread

Christ this coverage is abysmal, Clichy looks like he can't be arsed with it all already

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2023/24

Genuine question but was he ever going to play any game of “note” this season without injuries? The age old thing of taking time to settle into this team especially centrally. He has a hell of a lot to like for me and he’s probably the best example of a rough domains as you can get, some pep...

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2023/24

Think there’s certain players you watch that just seem to get it and he’s one. Just looks a pep player all over. Really impressed with how he coped with a physical and mobile Newcastle team too.

    Kalvin Phillips

I’m sorry but people not wanting to say it how it is based on tonight are kidding themselves. Peps comments before the game were damming. As it stands he simply isn’t our level and is below our level on most of the basics. I do think he has been massively unlucky. I’m not sure I’ve seen a player...

Newcastle (A) | Wed 27th Sept | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Can’t believe the plucky underdogs managed to turn over the unlimited funds oil club in such a historic victory… Christ the commentators were insufferable

    25 | Manuel Akanji - 2023/24

You say he didn’t show for the ball enough but I think that may have been by design. Pep probably knows his limits and he seemed to pick up a dummy role ahead of kova and Rodri at times to allow more space and times to everybody else.

    25 | Manuel Akanji - 2023/24

Massively underrated how good that performance was tonight. Was by no means perfect but he’s playing a role that is close to impossible for 99% of CB’s to play. It was only his second time in doing so also. Add to that he struggled in Athens and he’s up against an incredibly organised, high...

Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Strikes me as a similar deal to Dias this. Someone we've scouted for a while but didn't necessarily see as obtainable but an opportunity has presented itself and we're now looking into it.

    Leroy Sané

Makes a lot of sense. I think he's added more control to his game which he previously lacked but still offers something different to what we have now, can cover both sides, can replace Mahrez's goal output and he hopefully wouldn't need any bedding in period and knows exactly what to expect.

    Romeo Lavia

Seems a strange one this, there's strong interest from every top club in England but it hasn't gone any further than that with anyone. Surely if any of that interest was genuine we'd of heard more about it by now? Get the feeling his agent is very busy.

    Benjamin Pavard

Let’s be honest there is no direct replacement for walker. City are at a level now where the players we have are at the absolute top of their game. The likes of Walker and gundo are unique, as were the likes of silva and aguero. Nobody can come in and do exactly what they do because they’re one...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I don't think the likes of Szoboszlai or Veiga are a Gundo replacement stylistically, they seem much closer to a KDB or Foden type of player. I'll probably get pelters but I think Mount actually fits that profile better and even adds elements of Bernie too. Obviously not close to eithers level...

    Declan Rice

Exactly my thoughts! Why they have to keep telling us Arsenal are favorite's in what is a one horse race at current I'll never know.

    Declan Rice

Who are you trying to convince? us or yourself? Your confidence/arrogance has certainly waned on this deal and now you're main hope is your postcode... Arses are certainly twitching and this is without us showing any concrete interest.
