Fantasic game. You can tell he is has all the attributes to thrive under Pep. Seems unpolished gem at 25. The Wolves move and instability of playing under two manger in so many positions is good but could reach so much higher levels.

I can really see him playing at right back inverting into midfield doing the Yayaesque runs. More game time and he will continue to shine. Shocking he is has already been written off by some fans.
I could see him being fairly effective as a wide player on the right in our system. Likes to run with the ball and cut inside and has plenty of pace.

Just ran past their defence with ease sometimes. Good game overall. Still standby he will get better and better, there's a top player in him.

Promising comments as did not watch the game, first one this season missed but my Son had a game.

Got to admit not sold, but I’m always reminded of Pep’s quote of can he dribble? This is supposed to be the first thing he looks for as it is easier to coach the rest and this guy can.

Hopefully he can push on, we need 1 of Kov, Phillips and Nunes to be an outright success as a min.

Can he play right back?
I have thought similar myself. In that advanced wing back role Walker has played a few times this year he could be really dangerous. He has a very similar style / gate to Cancelo but seems more powerful. Just question marks on him defensively and how that would work out.

I thought he was the best player on the pitch yesterday and showed some real glimpses of what he can offer us.

There was a few instances where he was under pressure from two or three players with very little space to work in but still managed to get out of it and suddenly we were on the attack. The way he carries the ball and can drive us up the pitch is very similar to KDB which is something we've lacked in his absence.

I agree with those saying that there's aspects of his game he needs to work on like his final ball and when to release it but I think that will improve the more he gets used to our patterns of play. Holding on to the ball too long is possibly a sign that he's trying too hard to show what he can do in the limited game time he is getting which is understandable. Once he starts to feel like he belongs I think he'll be a lot better in that regard.

As for complaints about his body language and saying that he's always moaning, Grealish spends half the game having a go at referees and yet he's a fan favourite. What's the difference? Seems to me like some fans have already made their mind up about him and are just trying to find any negative to avoid praising a good performance.

So he shares more in common with Cancelo than his gait…

Needs a lot of fine tuning but there is something clearly there. I just hope Pep can tweak him enough mentally and technically for him to have an impact here
