    The 'race' for Seventh Heaven

Had a look at the fixtures of the other teams in the mix. Here are my predictions: West Ham Chelsea (h) lose Stoke (a) lose Liverpool (h) lose Everton (a) draw Boro (h) win: 4 points= 49 points Fulham Stoke (H) win Chelsea (a) lose Villa (H) draw Newcastle (A) lose Everton (H) win: 7 points=...

    Wayne Bridge

we're the complete opposite to his blackburn team, woefully disorganised and no work rate. no other team in the league would have lost a two goal lead at home to WBA, shocking. Still think we should keep him though

    Wayne Bridge

Chelsea, particularly under Mourinho, were renowned for their hard work. Even the likes of Joe Cole and Duff would track back and contribute defensively.

    Right back

Richards has been awful all season and Zab has been used more and more as a midfielder. I think we need a world class right back, someone in the dani alves mode. Who do you think we could get? Is glen johnson good enough? what about Maicon? Discuss.

    Wayne Bridge

this is true, robinho leaves him exposed a lot but even still I havent been impressed. Maybe he started to decline as a player years ago, but because he hasnt been playing regularly for Chelsea, nobody ever noticed?

Official Manchester City vs Hamburg Thread (2nd Leg)

bollox, he was awful first half, got turned on numerous occasions and thats why he gave so many fouls away. he made a few good interceptions tonight but he was poor and deserved to be sent off

Time for Mark Hughes to resign.

great performance, unlucky on the night. think we lost it in the first leg, 3-1 was an uphill task to come back from.

I dont know if we should change anything. we're way too open but i think we could get a second goal if we keep it the same. Sturridge for Gelson?

Great finish by Jo for Everton

Bad players can have good games. I seem to remember Benjani scoring a hat trick against Reading last season for Pompey. I personally don't rate Jo, since his debut against Streymur I knew he wasnt the man to solve our problems up front. Too slow and not strong enough. Drops deep too much for a...

    Rags V Villa

refs generally add 3 minutes for every match. I would agree that the added time was a boost though

    Rags V Villa

in fairness, they got the third goal within the first three minutes of stoppage time so I dont think the 'lucky c*nts got 5 minutes' argument is valid

    Aggregate.

this is a pointless thread, the league isnt decided by aggregate scores, so who cares?

Do you think we can go to OT again this year and WIN?

Its too early to say, we could be still in the UEFA cup. They could have the league wrapped up or worse, could win it by beating us :(

    We've NOT got Robinho!

i think we have got the real Robinho, but the real Robinho may not be thw world class player that we expected him to be. He wasnt even a guaranteed starter at Real Madrid last year. And if he was so good, why were Madrid so keen to exchange him for ronaldo and not offer him a new contract? I...

    Ronaldinho

Ronaldinho would be a disaster of a signing if you ask me. Past his peak and has lost his motivation imo. What we need in the summer is big, powerful players. A physical striker and a midfielder who can boss games. My ideal signings would be Sammy Etoo and Michael Essien but Im in a dream world

We Won !!! No Thanks To Hughes

I'd have to blame Hughes for last night's performance. It was plainly obvious that we were defending too deep in the last 30 minutes. We played into Aalborg's hands. All they had to do was hoof it into the area ad hope for a bit of luck, which got them back into the tie.

Official City v AaB Match Thread.

good first half. we look like scoring a few more. I'd be worried of them nicking one though. I predict 3-1 at full time, Robinho getting the third

Official Manchester City Vs. Aston Villa thread.

i'd expect us to start with this if Richards is fit: Given Richards Dunne Onouha Bridge SWP (RM) Zab De Jong Kompany Ireland (LM) Caicedo Elano SHOULD play though. Drop Richards, put Zab at RB. Think Hughes will try and nick a 1-0 tho with three defensive midfielders
