Great finish by Jo for Everton

If Jo has a poor game next week there will probably be 10 threads on how it was a good decision to ditch him.

Yes we all know that Moyes is a better manager than Hughes but he's not OUR manager so therefore he is a prick!

Even if we got Jo back for Hamburg, gave him a hug, kiss, blowjob, whatever,he would still be shit coz he dosn't want to be here so lets just get what we can for him and tell him to do one!!

Thats why Everton have such a good team spirit by the way, they all suck each other off, fact!!!!!

Sven tried to employ the same tactics here but Dunney was havin non of it!!!!!!!

I think you're over reacting a little here guys .

Jo has scored 5 goals , but only scored in 3 games .

1 a penalty , and another today a tap in .

Today he played very well , regardless of his goals , and looked a very good player , but it's important also to remember that Everton as a team also played superbly today .

The guy has been a bit up and down since arriving , and though we are all aware that he has great potential , especially like today , there is also a feeling of uncertainty as to whether he can become the real deal or not .

Hopefully he can push on from here , and become a premiership hit , be it with us , or yourselves , but there's still no guarantee that we can afford the purchase even if we wanted to , at the end of the season .

We already have some good competition up front when they are all fit , in particular the Yak , and the young lad Vaughan , who but for bad luck with injury , is rated by many as a top prospect . Add to that a fully fit Saha ( we can only dream ) and Anichebe , who though not as good as he might be , has potential ( still a kid ) and a striker might not be our main priority come the next window .

Jo would really have to shine between now and the end of the season to convince Moyes to spend what little he will probably have on him .

As for your manager :

Firstly I think when you sacked Sven it was a grave mistake ( just my opinion ) , but Hughes is himself a very good manager , as he proved with Blackburn and indeed Wales .

Everton are a much better team than City at the moment , but that's mainly because we are actually playing as a team , as opposed to individual players . We also don't have a big squad , so those that are playing play week in week out together barring injury , and they ' have ' to play well , or we are screwed .

It will take a while for your team to gell , so I'm not sure Jo scoring at Everton is really a reflection on the managers , but more that he is actually getting games .

There's a lot happening at City at the moment , so I think Hughes deserves at least another season to get things up and running .

I said all along he was great get him back. He is the best player ever, I never ever said Caicedo was good I knew Jo was better.

Stop with all this bullshit please!

Agreed. I think City have better players, overall, than everton (tho I'd love to steal arteta and a couple of others) but, as you say, you're a much better team. We play like a bunch of individuals and totally off the cuff. When it works it can be absolutely brilliant to watch, but when it doesn't it's like watching 11 blind strangers walkin around bumpin into each other. No shape at all.
Just seems that we never have any gameplan . It's like Hughes, before a game, just says to the players "be dynamic(his favourite word - whatever the hell it means) , now fuck off" . Moyes is a far superior manager to hughes.

Welcome btw.

Bad players can have good games. I seem to remember Benjani scoring a hat trick against Reading last season for Pompey.

I personally don't rate Jo, since his debut against Streymur I knew he wasnt the man to solve our problems up front. Too slow and not strong enough. Drops deep too much for a target man

We shall see how keen Everton are to permanently sign him in the summer. Something tells me Moyes won't bid over £6m for him
