If Jo has a poor game next week there will probably be 10 threads on how it was a good decision to ditch him.

Jo has scored 5 goals , but only scored in 3 games .
1 a penalty , and another today a tap in .
Today he played very well , regardless of his goals , and looked a very good player , but it's important also to remember that Everton as a team also played superbly today .
The guy has been a bit up and down since arriving , and though we are all aware that he has great potential , especially like today , there is also a feeling of uncertainty as to whether he can become the real deal or not .
Hopefully he can push on from here , and become a premiership hit , be it with us , or yourselves , but there's still no guarantee that we can afford the purchase even if we wanted to , at the end of the season .
We already have some good competition up front when they are all fit , in particular the Yak , and the young lad Vaughan , who but for bad luck with injury , is rated by many as a top prospect . Add to that a fully fit Saha ( we can only dream ) and Anichebe , who though not as good as he might be , has potential ( still a kid ) and a striker might not be our main priority come the next window .
Jo would really have to shine between now and the end of the season to convince Moyes to spend what little he will probably have on him .
As for your manager :
Firstly I think when you sacked Sven it was a grave mistake ( just my opinion ) , but Hughes is himself a very good manager , as he proved with Blackburn and indeed Wales .
Everton are a much better team than City at the moment , but that's mainly because we are actually playing as a team , as opposed to individual players . We also don't have a big squad , so those that are playing play week in week out together barring injury , and they ' have ' to play well , or we are screwed .
It will take a while for your team to gell , so I'm not sure Jo scoring at Everton is really a reflection on the managers , but more that he is actually getting games .
There's a lot happening at City at the moment , so I think Hughes deserves at least another season to get things up and running .
