As stupid as going to the places like the statehouse was there were no riots, everyone has the right to protest (and in some places whilst armed), some even had their temp checked before going inside. Violence suits Trump only because he hasn't needed to stoke it.

Many of the rioters not being local alters nothing. The notion that Portland is a hotbed of far right activity is absurd but even if we granted that, again, it changes nothing. Mayors and Governors have a job to do. Standing outside a courthouse with rioters isn't part of it. Ending the riots is.

The rioting in Democrat run cities is the Democrats' fault. It's not about recognising Trump as King of the Universe or whatever, it's about refusing to put a stop to the riots and even encouraging them. If they had nipped the rioting in the bud, yes, things would be so much better.
