To be fair on the video feed the stadium looks deserted, a truly awful turnout at least by Boro fans. City fans haven't really been shown yet.

The problem doesn't seem to be the atmosphere in the run up to kick off, but rather 2-3 minutes into the game when everyone has sat down and fallen into old routines. Only we can resolve that, not the club IMO.

Re: Tonight's stay aways should hang their heads.... The games are won on the pitch, not in the stands. There is no provable correlation between % stadium capacity attendance rate and performance. I can assure you that Hughes will not be using the crowd size as an excuse when he is bollocking...

Re: Tonight's stay aways should hang their heads.... This was the first league cup game I have been to in years, and I am so gutted that I did. The day ended up costing me almost £50 and the game was shite. Won't be making this mistake again. Think I will stick to the games already paid for...

We shouldn't moan too much about this. I remember being in the North Stand and seeing Beckham pelted with enough coins to fund his kids through uni!

No matter what happens from now on the damage has been done by us, the City fans. We deserted Ireland in his darkest times, and as a result he will never love us as much as we want him to, which is a pity because he has the talent and the drive to become a City legend. I hope he is a better...
