Hyde United collection last night

Chucked a quid in the bucket of the big bloke loitering near 111.Must admit, the red shirt with "CTIC" on the front threw me for as mo!
The guy said "thanks a lot mate, appreciated" and I could tell he really meant it.

Nice.

I hope they pull through.

That is Brilliant when we collected for Carl Ramsbottom the City Fan in a Coma in Germany we collected £1,800 but was only allowed to collect on tier 1

Think that was a piss poor amount raised to be honest. Couldn't the players chip in £500 each?

I expected the amount to be alot more if im being honest, i have to say though i did'nt see anyone dodge the buckets everybody gave what they had, not everyone can throw in £3, 5 or £10, but we all gave which is the important part and it was gratefully recieved.

I have heard Ricky Hatton is going to make a donation, my sister told me that today as she works for the Tameside Adveriser and they are going to be covering the donation with Ricky.

I understand Nathan D'laryea (sorry if spelling is off there) is on their books?

Hope they pull through

Actually coming from the Newton area of Hyde I know that the Club and fan's of Hyde United are very pleased with what they collected from the game the other night. It is just a shame that we have fan's with the attitude of that-lad, as I am sure that he was not the only one who did not donate because of the United in the name. I personally gave £5, but accept that it is only because I live in Hyde.

Must admit though they have been in a poor financial situation for many year's, I can remember going watching game on a Saturday some year's ago and they were coming round with bucket's for donation's for the club at half time then, and that must be some 5-6 year's ago when Mike Mckenzie was the Manger, so I do not think that this anything new for them.

Just wanted to let all the fantastic City supporters know that Hyde United FC sucessfully managed to raise the necessary funds and the winding up order has been revoked, so we are back in business and will be playing on Saturday! A huge thanks needs to be extended to all at Manchester City, from the chairman to the fans for allowing us to raise money at your game and for generously helping us out, the £7800 we raised helped greatly in our fundraising campaign!

Im sure all at Hyde United will look forward to welcoming City's fans at Ewen Fields in the future! So Thanks again!
