Iheanacho needs to be starting games

I think a 4-4-1-1 would get the best out of both players IMO.

Kelechi Nwakali - U17 World Cup Best Player.

Video doesn't do him much justice, but it's the only thing I could find.

Kelechi Nwakali - U17 World Cup Best Player.

Never in my whole life of watching Nigerian football have I seen such a dominating performance by a Nigerian Midfielder (both defensively and Offensively) at any level of football, this kid is all that plus more. Imagine Yaya Toure with Fernandinho's workrate. When I first heard of him, I...

    Player Topic: Kelechi Iheanacho (2015/16)

How exactly is that a fact? You do realize he won the MVP at the U17's playing just behind the striker (something I've been saying for quite a while now) and even a good coach like Pellegrini noticed that he's more of a creator than a Goalscorer.

As I said before, his insane finishing might make you think he's a #9, but his vision and creativity is just on a different level. Glad that Pelle sees that. Got a late call up to the national team.

Pretty ironic that you're saying I don't have a clue yet you can't comprehend a simple statement like: "A player with good ball control not being a dribbler". Where in that did I say good dribblers didn't have good ball control? Learn to comprehend befor jumping the gun! This reminds me of...

I wonder who can spot Kelechi in this (taken way back in 2008 I believe) of our U13's.

    Player Topic: Kelechi Iheanacho (2015/16)

I wonder why you're so surprised? You do realize that's the position he was playing that caught the eye of city in the first place? And one can have really good ball control and not be much of a dribbler FYI. And where did I say he can't play as a striker, all I said is he wouldn't make a WC...

    Player Topic: Kelechi Iheanacho (2015/16)

You'll be wasting his potential (as a #10) keeping him as a striker. Besides his insane finishing his other attributes don't really give an indication that he'll make a top Striker, not really much of a dribbler, not the quickest and not particularly physically dominant. His biggest asset that...

City don't have a Academy set up in 'Nigeria'. City were only interested in him after he won the MVP at the U17 WC

    Player Topic: Kelechi Iheanacho (2015/16)

Has a lot to do with 2 main factors: 1. Most Nigerians are extremely terrible at negotiations especially with Europeans (it's embarrassing tbh) 2. He plays for an Academy and not an actual professional club, so he's not exactly proven like say if he was a Brazillian and regular for a team like...

I highly doubt he was signed for nothing, most academies in Nigeria ask for at least 300 thousand Euros and that's for players no where near Kelechi in terms of talent. And I heard one of the reasons he picked city over Porto was because they offered more money.

    Player Topic: Kelechi Iheanacho (2015/16)

OK my bad lol. But IMO Kelechi is more than ready to forge a career in the top flight, has the swagger/arrogance and just bags of confidence, he's not the type to be stage frieight. As a Nigerian, I'd have preferred it if he was loaned out to a team either in Holland in France, where he can...

    Player Topic: Kelechi Iheanacho (2015/16)

The only similarities that they do have is they're both left footed, and they're both black. Sturridge is a lot faster and more direct, while Kelechi is more cerebral and calculated.

    Player Topic: Kelechi Iheanacho (2015/16)

Really hope City don't plan on keeping him as a Striker, almost reminiscent of what Chelsea did to Obi Mikel (who was a much bigger talent at the same stage. Kelechi is a #10...

    And you know this how?

    Kelechi Iheanacho

Pretty ironic there, makes me wonder how City heard of him in the first place? I'm guessing you guys are the ones that have been training him since he was 12 years old? SMDH

    Kelechi Iheanacho

That's the only thing I think that would make sense of this, and was really backed up when he took off a more attack minded Sokari for Nwakali when it would've made more sense to take off Ifeanyi who was even on a yellow card. The strongest thing about this team is it's depth and yet the dude...

    Kelechi Iheanacho

WTF are you talking about? Belittle please show me where exactly I said he didn't deserve the award? smdh... You're the only one that's getting overly defensive about my opinion (coupled with facts) that not only has he has never played as a striker for Nigeria, but that Succes is the better...

    Kelechi Iheanacho

At least you understand where I was going wrt the comparison of Success and Kelechi. But tbh, Simon is already a star in my opinion, he joined Gent in January and was good enough to be voted in the team of the season, he even scored a hat trick for two teams in one season. I'd also add Ndidi...
