It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Totally agree. We're not going to make top 4/5 as there are so many sides who are better than us. I'd be quite happy to end up mid table if we play the youngsters. We will find out how good Wright and O'Reilly are for starters. They both played well at Tottenham. Give McAtee an extended run. If...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

This feels like 1980 again. Struggling team, Gerry Gow, Tommy Hutchison and Bobby McDonald come in and stabilise the team sufficiently to go on a couple of decent cup runs

If the rot continues what happens ?

There are several players who should not be playing apart from 10 minutes to see out a game we are comfortably winning. Remember those! Walker, Gundoghan, Nunes. There are quite a few that cannot be relied upon to stay injury free but are still good players when not injured. Stones, Ake and...

    Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

He has been brilliant but if he stopped now the team is worse than when he started. If he feels he can sort it fine but like you I get the feeling he doesn't. Unlike you I don't think anyone hates Pep. He's the best manager we've ever had and I've always said that when he leaves there'd be a...

If the rot continues what happens ?

Frankly losing to the worst United side in living memory would be bad if we were on a good run. But after all the ridiculous results recently it's s totally unacceptable. As people have said, Pep renewing was supposed to be a catalyst to better performances. When in fact the reverse is true...

United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Fair enough. But I have to say it just doesn't seem likely that he turns this around. Partly because he's got a huge job on his hands and he's human and getting older.

United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

The reality is we play incredibly turgid, boring football. I have absolutely no confidence Pep turns this around because he's so welded to his methods Giving h.im 200 million to spend on Wirtz, Musiala or whoever will not solve the problem. He has been brilliant but it's over.

    Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

Like some of the players he's run out of gas. It happens. Mourinho Lost it some time ago. Shankly did. Busby.

Syria | Assad flees to Moscow as rebels capture Damascus

You're last sentence is interesting. I think to an extent Israelis are more like us i.e. secular, capitalist and as such the left don't like 'us' bullying people with less money, power and influence. I was opposed to the US invasion of Iraq on much the same grounds. Israel is a western...

Syria | Assad flees to Moscow as rebels capture Damascus

Being more interested in the Israel/Palestine conflict than what's happening in Ukraine is not antisemitism. Relatively speaking the Ukraine conflict is new. The takeover of Palestinian land has been ongoing since Stalin was still in office.

Pepelu who from the little I've seen looks a lot like Rice but a better passer and more mobile. The problem is he is Valencia's captain and can't see him wanting to leave a sinking ship.

    Joshua Kimmich

He looked ok in the Euros but remember Nico Williams giving him the runaround. Maybe him and Kovacic in midfield would be more solid, but can't help feeling we need more pace in the side.

Tchouameni is unwanted apparently. Haven't seen enough of him. But he's a regular starter for France.

    Players who might improve us

Watching a comedy show in Spain. Luis Figo is one of the guests. What a player he was. Didn't we try to buy him? Looked up his stats. 570 games 93 goals. Not bad for a winger.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

As if we'd let our most creative player leave during this crisis. It's like a lot of stories going the rounds. The Atlanta Ederson is not leaving the League leaders. Zubimendi won't be leaving either. We may have a chance with Pepelu.

Support band you saw that blew away the headliner

My memories are a bit hazy. I remember it being sunny when we arrived, think Little Feat were playing. We were right up close during the SAHB set but moved back quite a bit for the Who. It's probably why I can still hear.
