    Mancini's selection and tactics

+1 I don't know why we pulled out. We should have worked hard to secure Hazard's signature.

    Yaya....world class attacking midfielder....

But, I don't think Yaya is #10. We need a #10 who can operate effectively in tight, congested areas, creating chances for our FWs and acting as a linking man between the midfield and attackers.

    Dortmund Fans

Well said, mate. Those German supporters of football are scary because they are just fanatics. Several hundreds of thousands, wearing uniforms of their supporting teams, turn up to watch games every week with drums and flags. They just create a kind of atmosphere that resembles the one created...

City Vs Borussia Dortmund (CL) Post Match Thread

The Rags' midfield is horrible. They are lucky only because they got lucrative sponsor deals through the signing of kagawa. Otherwise, kagawa is a burden on the Rags. He is a flop and totally unnecessary purchase.

    2 defensive midfielders

Both Yaya and Garcia should not play further up. One of them must remain deep in the midfield to protect the defensive, especially in 4-2-3-1.

    2 defensive midfielders

What's wrong with Yaya playing in CM as a deep lying playmaker? He is not creative enough to play #10's role, and is better playing deeper.

If you could have one player in the January window.

Yaya should be a deep lying playmaker. He is just not effective playing further up as #10.

    Should Tevez contract be extended

No. Tevez time with us is over. We should replace him with a more physically imposing clinical finisher.

    Javi Garcia

Yaya is not suited to play an attacking playmaker's position. He is not creative enough in a conjested area. He cannot work effectively unless he has a plenty of space in front of him.

Fulham Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

I've argued this before. Yaya is more effecitve and dangerous in the central mid position than an advanced attacking position in a playmaking role.

    This summers transfer window

Well, everything is relative, I suppose. But, why are you selling Kagawa as a top class midfielder? Kagawa has been a flop, not just with the Rags, he is struggling to hold onto a starting position in his national team as well. He can thrive only in the Bundesliga. It's obvious the Rags got him...

Kagawa? He's rubbish. What game are you watching? Are you a Soka gakkai member, who is employed by Detsu inc. to hype up the weakling?

A total spin, this one. Or is it supposed to be a sarcastic remark?

    David Silva

It was not just Silva. Yaya was also wasteful trying to score goals from distance, instead of building up attacks with short passes.

City v Arsenal post match discussion

Silva was working very hard for his defensive duties. He even ran back deep in our own half to take care of his side.

City v Arsenal post match discussion

IMO, it was Yaya who played shit. Yaya was playing too far forward as one of the 2 midfielders in 4-2-3-1 against a pacey and accurate one-two passing side. He was often in attacking mid's position, but creating little for our attacking players. Garcia was often isolated and forced to manage...

If you could have one player in the January window.

We don't necessarily require fast runners, but I agree we need a midfielder/s who is/are quick thinkers and can send the ball forward quickly and accurately.
