Ajax Vs City CL Post Game Discussion Thread

Re: Reality Check. All is not lost. Sweep Ajax, steal (at least) a point in Dortmund, and who knows...

    The Gareth Barry Appreciation Society

Barry does a number of things very well, especially defensively, but I noticed last season (even more so in re-watching matches over the Summer) how often possession ends with a bad pass from Barry. While watching one match with a friend from work I've been trying to get hooked on the game...

    Aguero

By now they'd already know from a preliminary scan had it been an ACL rupture, so I'm thinking that can be ruled-out. Strain, sprain, or minor cartilage damage, he could be back in 2-3 weeks. Ligament tear or more significant cartilage damage would be grimmer news. Won't be able to...

    Needless stupid bookings.

Now if we could get Natalie Pike to shirtlift after goals instead of players on the field, surely that would be an acceptable alternative...

30 August 2012 - Champions League group Draw

Odds are just a bit over 40% of getting either Barca or Real Madrid in our group ... so some challenging opposition will come soon enough. The only playoff round match-up that will impact our draw probabilities will be the one that involves Braga. If Braga wins (and thus lands in Pot 2), that...

    when mackie scores for qpr....

It looked to me like had Kun gone down and the ball continued on its current path ... that Silva was there, in position to knock it in.

    New kits arrival date?

Just looked at my order (Away Kit Only) and see that the free scarf which is part of the promotion will not be available until the 26th. Sounds like that might delay the whole shipment, eh?

    Just got told...

My response would be either: 10 years from now United supporters will still be bitter about that goal. It will be seared into your memory for decades like a nightmare that you just can't wake-up from. or Still in denial eh? You still have to go through anger, bargaining, and depression...

Fergie on Pogba's move to Juve (merged)

Re: Fergie on Pogba Of course Pogba chose Juve over the scum, he wants to be somewhere where he can win league titles.

Plastic Bottles, Flasks and Stewards on the gates

If Fulham have a problem with RPG-wielding supporters ... I know which away matches to avoid. At old trafford they'll have to ban fruit, because all those sour grapes could lead to a riot.

    The Penalty that never was.

From the various replay angles, it appears that Silva may well have been in position to knock it in had Aguero gone down, mooting the need for a penalty. A penalty would have been high drama though united supporters would have claimed it was a soft penalty and that the referee had stolen the...

Oh my god the bitterness is palpable.

Sounds like a bit of amnesia to me ... just how many of their titles have been 'bought' by outspending the competition. It's not like Rooney, Ferdinand, and ahem ... Berbatov were free transfers. It's a bitterness borne of being beaten at their own game.
