We’ve spoke about this. Maybe the last 5 years, not the last 25.

Has something new happened? Why are 12 year old articles being dragged up?

    Joshua Kimmich

Arsenal will be fine for PSR with the increased revenue this season will bring. However, i agree if City want him they'll get him. Not sure if signing a 29 year old Kimmich is the best move for Arsenal either, think i'd prefer a younger player like Zubimendi for that position.

Is that not what clubs do nowadays?

    Pre-kick off anthems….

It wasn’t commissioned. It’s actually called The Angel by a local lad called Louis Dunford about the changing landscape of Islington and North London, If you actually listen to the words, it doesn’t really mention Arsenal or football in general. As it started to gain traction after being...

Concaeico didnt appreciate Pep in 2020, or Tuchel in 2021. Seems like a pattern emerging here. No wonder he's often described as Mourinho esq. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9001871/Pep-Guardiola-hits-Porto-manager-Sergio-Conceicaos-claim-pressures-referees.html...

Interestingly, Dermot Gallagher on ref watch just on SSN suggests the only decision wrong in the Celtic game was the award of the Celtic penalty. He thinks the sending off and the handball are unlucky, but that they are probably the correct decisions. The ex players disagree with him...

Premier League Games 2/3/4 March '24

The frustration is the full minute or 2 leading to the goal. Konate head ‘injury’ stops a Forest attack when they still have the ball, Konate doesn’t get asked to leave the field, Liverpool don’t give Forest the ball back, then they get the corner and Forest have an easy chance to clear and it...

Yeah, I mean 1 game wipes out weeks of being decidedly average.

We’ll have 3 away and 2 at home…no? So likely Celtic and Hearts away from who are 2nd and 3rd in the league, and then probably whoever finishes 6th.

Think he is, he’s missed a couple chunks of the season with injuries at Sociedad im sure. Speaking of injuries, yesterday we had guys like Partey and Timber back training, so would be good if they could play a part up to the end of the season. Hoping that could give us an edge of Liverpool...

    Scottish Football Thread - 2023/24

Performances mean very little at this stage, can’t play well every week. Your probably the toughest place to go to and get a result just now for an Old Firm team, a night time game in the wind and rain on a plastic pitch against a well organised McInnes team has dropped points written all over...

Was a massive 3 points that mate, probably the hardest ground in Scotland to play at just now for various reasons.

I'm not going to be naive and think you can clear the decks easily, we know that never happens the way you expect, especially considering clubs are concerned over these new rules and are tightening their belt a bit. But in a summer window, i think there would still be a market for the likes of...

    Arsenal Thread - 2023/24

Was the first of years not one of the Covid years as well? Think we are obviously wary of being close to the limit this season hence the deal structured the way it was for Raya and no signings in January. I’d imagine we’ll be looking to try and break even this season with Champions League...

I mean, it’s 12 years since Rangers had to start in the bottom tier. If you are looking at 25 years like MP said, the 13 years before that I count Celtic winning 7 titles and Rangers winning 6. So I wouldn’t say Celtic were dominating before 2012? Dominating after isn’t actually a big surprise now.

I mean, the 10 years we were out of the league takes a good chunk of that of course, and the recovery since.

This is the thing, there's no set definition of World Class. @bridgeno1 definition seems to be that they need to make a World XI, so it's only really 1 world class player for each position, i'd agree it's too narrow. Some might think top 3 in the world in that position, some top 5 etc, so it's...

    Arsenal Thread - 2023/24

I know it's inevitable folk compare players of similar age, position etc, but they are different types of players for me. Foden is a more rounded football player, you feel him being out wide restricts him more, he's at his best where he can roam and cause damage in the pockets, whereas Saka is a...
