    The Squad planning thread

Think plenty of clubs would be interested in giving Marmoush and Savinho more prominent roles in the summer, could see the pair of them pushing for moves.

Marc Guehi | City strong contenders for transfer this month (p60)

Can’t see him leaving in January, especially in a WC year. He has his spot there at Palace, playing week in week out. He is pretty much guaranteed a seat on the plane to America if he stays, not to mention a huge signing on bonus waiting for him at whatever club he chooses. Why would he leave now?

Will we win the league this season?

Long way to go feels unlikely now, my rule is if the gap to the team you are chasing reaching double digits it’s not happening. Now we have all these injuries and a very different fixture schedule, can’t see it personally. Not throwing in the towel just yet, but it would take a Herculean...

    16 | Rodri 2025/26

Nico’s main job is to allow Rodri to rest in certain games until the end of the season

    14 | Nico Gonzalez - 2025/26

Yep. Don’t get me wrong I think Nico has been solid for us this season but he’s not that great on the ball in that position. His passing bag isn’t deep enough and he takes far too long on the ball. I get steady Eddie vibes personally and there’s nothing from with because you need guys like...

    26 | Savinho - 2025/26

We gave him a pay rise because we denied him a move where he’d have a more significant role in the team

    26 | Savinho - 2025/26

Think Savinho and Marmoush push for moves in the summer

Will we win the league this season?

Game at a time for me, we have the more difficult fixtures second half of the season unfortunately. It’ll probably be the easiest T4 finish in quite some time though, think there’ll be a massive gap between top2 and the rest That was a statement win from Arsenal tonight but there has definitely...

    North Stand Construction Discussion

How of an impact will the North Stand construction, hotel, entertainment areas etc have on matchday revenue? Ours is the lowest out of the top 6 clubs, will be interesting to see how much of the gap is closed on the rags and London clubs once it’s fully operating

Will we win the league this season?

It’s the ultimate cliche but I’m still in one game at a time mode, long way to go yet. I think it’ll be a very straightforward T4 finish tho, already starting to see gaps open up.

Antoine Semenyo | Medical at City Thursday - Sky (p230)

Nailed on for Liverpool after the news Isak has sustained a serious injury. Plenty more fish in the sea

    14 | Nico Gonzalez - 2025/26

I think this prolonged run in the team will do his development wonders in the long term, however I suspect he’s fatiguing currently due to playing so much. Injury waiting to happen unless he gets a break

    Elliot Anderson

Very nice complimentary profiles too Will probably depend on how Reijnders does this season but yeah I could see Bernie, Kovacic and Rico all leaving next summer

    Elliot Anderson

I’d be looking at doing both Or will people accuse me of playing FIFA there :)

    7 | Omar Marmoush - 2025/26

Feel like there is something going on with Marmoush, he’s only getting pity minutes and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he was an unhappy face in the dressing room

    The Squad planning thread

Completely agree - people also forget we have done north of £300m on the squad since January 2025, with minimal sales. We’ve spent plenty of money.

How much would Wharton AND Anderson cost you think? Rodri coming back from a serious injury/contract situation ongoing, Bernardo leaving and Reijnders not performing at all.

    4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

Real Madrid are the biggest club in the history of the sport, we aren’t.

    4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

Might sound utterly mental but I actually think period of success might’ve made us less attractive for top players. We’d literally done it all, completed the lot. Whereas you get an Arsenal who haven’t won anything in the past 20 years and players have an opportunity to carve there name in the...

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2025/26

Appreciate he’s had a serious injury but his reputation is living off that 23/24 Newcastle away goal. Not physical enough for me
