    The Cure night BBC2

Adamson's book is worth a read, a bit more than your standard rock biog and quite harrowing (if you haven't read it).

I missed JD by a year as being too young but saw NO regularly until about 10 years ago. Don't fancy anywhere bigger than the Apollo these days.

    The Cure night BBC2

Very true. I honestly don't think they knew what they were doing (in a good way). Them and Wire were best dressed IMO as they didn't look forced. * (Hook was ok until he got into the leather gear lol).

    The Cure night BBC2

I like the Cure but Smith looks daft with the goth comb-over, or whatever he's trying to do with the hair he has left. Just shave it off and be like Leonard Cohen and all zen like, lol. It's like they're trapped in this time frame, even last night on BBC6 was filmed black and white. I never...

I've got 3 Elliot Smith CDs but not listened recently so will have have a re-listen but would put him above 99% of current music - definitely worth a listen but don't expect whoopin' and a hollerin'.

    Recommend a Car

I've got the estate version, never missed a beat in 3 years. Seats go down in the back if you want a kip or suchlike.

    The Chameleons / Chameleons Vox

I liked them, never saw them live though. Re-bought Strange Times recently and think it still holds up and much better than most of the other shite at the time. They were kind of after New Order and before Stone Roses and never really found their niche, if that ever mattered. It's just music...

    The most depressing film..

Christiane F and Naked (Mike Leigh) are both films I'm unlikely to watch in the near future. Bleak!

Aye, just don't try to look it up online without putting MJ's name in.

Worst (OK and best) band names

I like Here's Tom too but skip a few tracks much like On the Corner with Miles & Gil or whatever it's called. If someone could do a Best Of would knock all these Indie Chancers for 6. There's some great non-LP tracks too, Al's Vacation, Oscar and various B sides la' (ha). I remember seeing PF...

MH & Strands 8/10. Not my favourite, prefer Waterpistol and even HMS Fable (sometimes), but it has my favourite MH song - Something Like You. Apart from Waterpistol, I think his albums always have 3-4 great songs and some not so great. Not heard the new one yet.
