£10 Parking..

I heard that City had bought the land opposite Grey Mare Lane Market and Bradford pub (knocking it down), maybe this land will be used for a bigger car park, therefore the 100% increase will probably be paying for this.

Having just got home after another 200 mile round trip I thought I would just see if someone had brought this topic up.
£10 to park is a fu@king joke to be honest on top of all the petrol some of us have to fork out for, 100% rise.
£3.00 for the programme at a friendly with 62 pages compaired to the 94 pages for the normal prgramme at the same cost, it may sound like picking but lets not start ripping the fans off City.
For the first time I went into the shop to get the new top looked at it and what I had on from last season and walked away, a bit of white around the sleeve and a coloured bar strip inside the neck which you can't see and all for £45.00 no thanks I will give it a miss. Not long ago we were slating utd for ripping fans off ref shirts and the little change made to them before they put a new one on sale. Didn't take us long to follow in their footsteps.

Get a grip of yourself. How dare you compare us to the rags!

Over the past 3 years the cost of Parking in what is called "MCFC Parking" all around the ground, has gone up from £5,to £7 and now £10 !!
Somehow I`m NOT certain they belong to the Club directly, but for those tossers who come on here shouting about getting buses etc,not so easy when for someone like me,who lives 30 miles away !!!
With regard to parking on the Clubs own Car Park for Disabled Persons, like myself,it is far cheaper to buy either a ST Car Park or the Club will ask you if you need a parking card for that game,FREE OF CHARGE !!
You have show proof that you are on the Higher Rate of Disability.

Anyone else pissed off at this.
For £10 i want my car cleaned as well.
Steward said its a tenner every game from now on. ( stadium car park gas works).

I think we should have a full valeting and the annual service. An' they should throw in a free MOT when yer current one expires. And a full tank of diesel would make the £10 good value. In fact, I think I'd go to £15 for that lot.

I used an NCP car park in town when I had an interview. I was in it no longer than 1.5 hours. It cost me £10.40.

I went to see Lord of the Dance. The programme cost me £10 and it had a fraction of the content in the City one.

Rather than complain work out a better way of getting in. People know the car park is crap, thta's why I've used it once and never will again. If you think the programme is too expensive don't buy it.

What a bunch of moaning sods some are becoming.

Better make that £60 worth of petrol for Gary Neville... for his diesel car!

If you park @ the Chips building on Mill Street (just by the Ancoats Street retail park) it's £1.50. About a 15 min walk to the ground.

not much more than a 15 minute walk from Bury!

Massive own goal by the club imo.

Turned up for the game last night..not expecting much, other than a summers evenings kick about, and a chance to get a feel for how things are shaping up for the big launch of City Square on the 23rd.

Took my brother with me, who's not been in the best of health, so parking near to the stadium was a must.

I was gobsmacked when they asked for a tenner, but didn't see much point in having a rant at the person on the gate, who was clearly readying himself for a night of abuse.

Got in the car park, and the vibe was definately one of disbelief /anger and disgust..you could see it on the face of every driver arriving. It really felt like a rip-off, because you can't exactly refuse to pay and turn around, once they ask you for your cash, you've got a queue of traffic behind you...easier to hand over the cash and feel pissed off that at no stage had the club made mention of this in advance.

So essentially my upbeat mood of optimism, and warmth to the club, had immediately been tinged with cynicism. The fact that the programmes were the same price despite being a 1/3 of the size, didn't help my mood..Once we got in the food and drink prices were, to be fair, as expected, the place had been spruced up a bit, and City Square looks like it could be great...but that one issue with the car park sowed a seed of doubt that ruined the whole night.

You see, what has been playing on my mind is the fact that since our owners have taken over COMMUNICATION has been the buzz word, and they have been first class at communicating positive messages. This is arguably the first decision they have taken that has the potential to upset fans, and rather than, in an open and honest manner, comunicate to us that this will be happening, they chose to sneak it in, and hope for the best..or at least that's how it looks from where I'm standing.

The irony is if they had come out 2 weeks ago and said "sorry guys, it's going up to a tenner", people might not have liked it, but they could have accepted it, and planned accordingly...this stinks of pulling a fast one at our expense...not good. :(
