£50m bid

just read some comments in the mail under the manuel pellegrini story(about not leaving) and this one caught my eye some bloke from Liverpool ,now I know they are just comments but :)

Pellegrini is going nowhere, forget what this paper says, one thing i will say is City had to abide by FFP last year but the next transfer window will see some massive signings as City will offload 3-4 players and will have a transfer kitty of around 400 million, now believe it or not as i know they have this in their budget, they have just signed 3 major sponsorship deals which blows any English team out of the water. City knew at the start of the season this was going to be a difficult year and have budgeted for the 2015 season, now i know there is going to be a little backlash of comments here but i have the info. There is going to be one massive signing this summer which will be the biggest transfer in football history and may never be repeated, remember where you read it first.
Purely designed to wind up the rags, dippers, tarquins and chavs. Did it work?

£400m?! That's insane. We'd surely not look to invest all of that money in one window?! There's been a few murmurings over us seriously trying to sign Messi. He didn't do himself any harm with his performance on Wednesday (like we wouldn't sign him in a heartbeat anyway). He'd near enough cover his own transfer with shirt sales, sponsorship etc and we would fill the stadium with tourists no problem if he arrived. It's a big risk though - one injury and that could be him gone and the business failing!

There's no other player we would be after that would break that transfer record except Ronaldo but I doubt we would go for him.

Just had a look in the classics but couldn't find it. Only thread on there for the takeover is from when it was confirmed the next morning. It was a Blackburn fan if i remember correctly?

I would love to see Sterling join City but £50 million is a bit steep, more like £25-£30 million max. I think de Bruyne should cost about the same. Certainly if Chelsea or Barca were buying the prices would be about this, but clubs know City have money, although we won't be spending much more than Chelsea and they also know we need to overhaul our playing squad. In hindsight one or two players each summer would have been smarter and meant we wouldn't need a major rebuild now.

Yaya's great but slows our play down on occasion and leaves our midfield wide open when the opposition attack us. Dzeko has been good for us but I think we can improve in this area with a harder working striker. Nasri is neat and tidy and plays well with Yaya, so do we keep him or can we improve with another signing.

For me I'd hope the £50 million bid is for Pogba or Bale. These are two players we need and it would be a mini disaster if they rocked up at one of our competitors or Utd. If we could also sign Clyne and maybe a striker depending on what happens with Jovetic then we would be set for the summer. In the future then Gaya, de Bruyne (or Barkley if he comes good), one of Koke, Gundogan or Scheniderlin and Sterling as well would be great, but Bale and Pogba would be more attainable and blow most of our budget, 2 world class players and perhaps one or two supporting players and if we move on 3 or 4 then great. Nasri can give us what de Bruyne would, Jovetic if he stays one more year can start to earn his money as a striker, although I think he wants a move. We can start playing a system which suits Fernando and Navas. A 4-3-3 would be better or a 4-1-2-2-1 to be more precise. It would give our defence more protection and make us more solid at the back.

I just hope City can deliver this summer and improve the first team so we can challenge more in the Champions League.

400 million? More chance of me shagging beyonce tonight than city spending that this summer.

The figure aside that post isn't as far fetched at it seems
