£50m bid

Pogba, De Bruyne, Sterling, Bale , Koke etc all sound good. But we are naive to think we will be in for them only. United, Chelsea at least will be in for some of them maybe even Real, Bayern etc.
We hardly will out bid them at the moment.

50m wouldnt even get us Pogba. Juve is not stupid. They got Pogba+Tevez for a combined fee of 12m. Look how influential players they are for them.
They know Pogba is hot on the market, they laugh off any 50m bid. Especially with Raiola behind it. Who probably already plans where he will move Pogba after his next club...

Koke or De Bruyne could be bought from 50m. Not both... They would be closer to 35-40m imo.

Juventus have said they want 70m Euros for Pogba... that's just over £50m... in terms of Raiola he's interested in signing on fees and wages not the transfer fee.

Its a weird position to be in as a City fan.

Money isnt an issue for the club but there are so few players that are an improvement on what the club already has it seems as if it gets spent for the sake of spending it at times.

There are probably less than two or three dozen players that fit the bill for improving our squad and not all of them would come.

Pretty funny how something that Tolm has said ended up in the Sun

Are you saying Tolmie and Neil Custis have never been seen in the same room? ;-)

He takes up a room by himself. Still remember Gary Neville calling him a fat **** and to get out of the way because he was blocking the aisle on the plane.

Custis could only remark, 'charming'.

He has little knowledge of City, if any, these days. Since moved back to the United side when Baconface moved on, and his mate Mancini and Platt got the flick.

Martin Blackburn is the City mouthpiece, and he gets absolutely nowt.

Sterling would be a more than useful addition but it's nothing more than 2+2.

It's gonna be glorious, cheer up blues, we're back in the game!!!!!!!!!!

We are at the top level now and with that comes huge scrutiny into our transfers/manager etc. When we won the league in 2012 I don't think we were a particularly good side. Not in comparison to previous title winners in England in any case - that's why I think we're seeing a decline in Europe, it's been happening for a long time.

The rags winning it in 2013, again not a good side but we decided to reign in our spending so we didn't create the stigma that we would spend whatever a club/player/agent wanted. I think we've been a bit poor in terms of who we've bought..but there are reasons for that.

There are players out there who would improve us and we have to decide which players are key and what positions we really need to strengthen. I think that this summer we need to pay up and sign the players, now is not the time to do the whole walk away and tighten the purse strings. We've done that, we've got a solid squad and now we need the class acts to really improve it. Aguero and Silva are possibly the only two players we have bought that other clubs would have wanted, but even then I think we were quite unopposed in signing them. The rest have either improved whilst here (Kompany, Zab) or are top quality without being highly coveted. Mangala last summer was another wanted by several clubs.

Looks like the wheels are in motion to sign the players we need, that's positive and hopefully we can bring players like Bale, Pogba or those of that quality to the club. Bale looks like he's had it at Real - his celebration at the weekend showed his anger at the fans slating him.

Now that's what I like to hear. A glorious summer, and Neil Custard Tart resorting to BlueMoon to get his pearls of information.

I think Sterling would be a great acquisition, so seeing as 2+2 is quite a simple sum I hope his transfer to us is just as simple!

It's Sterling, according to the media today.

Sterling or Pogba I reckon.

Danamy has confirmed, that Tolms £50M bid maybe Sterling or it may not be. The media have just connected the dots possibly and read BM...

Danamy has also confirmed Sterling is not our No1 target because our No1 target will most likely cost us MORE THAN £50M...

I'm almost dead certain its only one of Pogba or Bale, nobody else.

Pogba more realistic than Bale I think unless someone who knows La Liga & Real Madrid really well can tell us the state of affairs with Bale in Spain at the moment?

I don't really get who it could be if that's the case...

Liverpool would surely want more than £50m for Sterling which doesn't mean we haven't bid that for him just to let him know we are interested. But if Sterling isn't our number 1 target and that target will cost more than £50m I can only think Messi or Ronaldo! There's not a player in Europe that in todays exchange rate would cost us more than £50m... Bale we could get for that, Pogba too. It's just shy of 70m euros which is Pogba's asking price and is what Real would have to accept for Bale given the constant complaints from the media etc as to his "decline"
Who in the right fuckin mind would pay £50 million for done fuck all Sterling, let alone more.

He won the league last year. In April!!!

just read some comments in the mail under the manuel pellegrini story(about not leaving) and this one caught my eye some bloke from Liverpool ,now I know they are just comments but :)

Pellegrini is going nowhere, forget what this paper says, one thing i will say is City had to abide by FFP last year but the next transfer window will see some massive signings as City will offload 3-4 players and will have a transfer kitty of around 400 million, now believe it or not as i know they have this in their budget, they have just signed 3 major sponsorship deals which blows any English team out of the water. City knew at the start of the season this was going to be a difficult year and have budgeted for the 2015 season, now i know there is going to be a little backlash of comments here but i have the info. There is going to be one massive signing this summer which will be the biggest transfer in football history and may never be repeated, remember where you read it first.
