just read some comments in the mail under the manuel pellegrini story(about not leaving) and this one caught my eye some bloke from Liverpool ,now I know they are just comments but :)

Pellegrini is going nowhere, forget what this paper says, one thing i will say is City had to abide by FFP last year but the next transfer window will see some massive signings as City will offload 3-4 players and will have a transfer kitty of around 400 million, now believe it or not as i know they have this in their budget, they have just signed 3 major sponsorship deals which blows any English team out of the water. City knew at the start of the season this was going to be a difficult year and have budgeted for the 2015 season, now i know there is going to be a little backlash of comments here but i have the info. There is going to be one massive signing this summer which will be the biggest transfer in football history and may never be repeated, remember where you read it first.

The figure aside that post isn't as far fetched at it seems

the guy seemed pretty certain ,however it could be a bit of bluster.

I would love city to blow everybody out of the water this summer then point to ffp and say you set the rules we followed them and its left us in a far stronger position so thank eufa :)

also he talks of "3 major sponsorship deals which blows any English team out of the water" anyone have any info on what these sponsorship deals could be .

So which part. Breaking the transfer record? If so who? Difficult to think of anyone bar Messi, Ronaldo or Neymar. Can't see the two Barca boys leaving and surely Ronaldo is too old for us to be spending 100 million. These are the only players who bring huge money to the buying club.

Lower level galacticos include Muller, Suarez, Bale. Maybe if Kroos is unhappy at Madrid. Reus. Who knows? I certainly don't.

But from the point of view of shirt sales, given the popularity of the PL, it might be that buying British or players currently plying their trade here, is the way forward marketing wise if not playing wise.

The net spend is the one that matters (for FFP).

Danamy has confirmed, that Tolms £50M bid maybe Sterling or it may not be. The media have just connected the dots possibly and read BM...

Danamy has also confirmed Sterling is not our No1 target because our No1 target will most likely cost us MORE THAN £50M...

I'm almost dead certain its only one of Pogba or Bale, nobody else.

Pogba more realistic than Bale I think unless someone who knows La Liga & Real Madrid really well can tell us the state of affairs with Bale in Spain at the moment?

I don't really get who it could be if that's the case...

Liverpool would surely want more than £50m for Sterling which doesn't mean we haven't bid that for him just to let him know we are interested. But if Sterling isn't our number 1 target and that target will cost more than £50m I can only think Messi or Ronaldo! There's not a player in Europe that in todays exchange rate would cost us more than £50m... Bale we could get for that, Pogba too. It's just shy of 70m euros which is Pogba's asking price and is what Real would have to accept for Bale given the constant complaints from the media etc as to his "decline"
Who in the right fuckin mind would pay £50 million for done fuck all Sterling, let alone more.

It's not what Sterling has done, but what Sterling could do with world class behind him, alongside him and ahead of him!

Would snatch your hand off if this was offered.

Who could really command a record fee?
Messi obviously, Neymar, Ronaldo maybe, Hazard? Neuer? Suarez? Cleverley?
