If he's talking jay......it's not.

Either of them.
He's talking about Ricardo Rodriguez- one of the best left backs in the world that is still very young. Buying him for less money than shaw cost is a great deal

Looked bang average against inter

Graham Hunter on SKY:

Manchester United and Manchester City will look at the possibility of buying Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the summer, according to Graham Hunter.

There has been much speculation over the future of the two Real Madrid players, especially given the difficult run of form the Spanish giants currently find themselves in, squandering their La Liga lead to Barcelona.

When asked about the possibility of Ronaldo and Bale being team-mates beyond the summer, Spanish football expert Hunter told La Liga Weekly podcast: “Beyond August is a very, very big question. That’s because, one, I think there’s nothing to report now in that neither is (Real Madrid manager Carlo) Ancelotti sacked, nor is Ronaldo sold, nor has Bale decided to leave.

“Honestly, my opinion is we have to wait and see because I think he (Ronaldo) will be tempted. He will be asked by both Manchester clubs. I think that goes for Bale too.

“It has been a talking point among the Manchester City players for a great part of the last 10 days.”

That part is interesting.

Hunter is very knowledgeable from my experience.

I was on the monarch flight home on Thursday from Barca, as was Txiki. With his wife so assumed he stayed on for an extra night in Barca after the team flew home.

He was asked by a few blues about the club, signings and spending etc.

He basically said that FFP has restricted who we've brought in this year, we have been shackled to a certain extent with the deals we have been able to put together (fee and wages). He also said next year we will spend very big with no restrictions.

I also managed to grab a quick work with him on the way to passport control and he again said we will spend very big in the summer.

Just passing on what I heard.

Pretty funny how something that Tolm has said ended up in the Sun

Are you saying Tolmie and Neil Custis have never been seen in the same room? ;-)

He takes up a room by himself. Still remember Gary Neville calling him a fat c**t and to get out of the way because he was blocking the aisle on the plane.

Custis could only remark, 'charming'.

He has little knowledge of City, if any, these days. Since moved back to the United side when Baconface moved on, and his mate Mancini and Platt got the flick.

Martin Blackburn is the City mouthpiece, and he gets absolutely nowt.

Sterling would be a more than useful addition but it's nothing more than 2+2.

It's gonna be glorious, cheer up blues, we're back in the game!!!!!!!!!!

Bale has to be signed I reckon. HG and exactly the type of player we have been crying for. It would give us so much wiggle room in terms of our foreign quota if we manage to get him and Sterling.

I don't really get who it could be if that's the case...

Liverpool would surely want more than £50m for Sterling which doesn't mean we haven't bid that for him just to let him know we are interested. But if Sterling isn't our number 1 target and that target will cost more than £50m I can only think Messi or Ronaldo! There's not a player in Europe that in todays exchange rate would cost us more than £50m... Bale we could get for that, Pogba too. It's just shy of 70m euros which is Pogba's asking price and is what Real would have to accept for Bale given the constant complaints from the media etc as to his "decline"
Who in the right fuckin mind would pay £50 million for done fuck all Sterling, let alone more.

It's not what Sterling has done, but what Sterling could do with world class behind him, alongside him and ahead of him!
Many thought the same when Chelsea bought Wright Phillips from us, look how that turned out

just read some comments in the mail under the manuel pellegrini story(about not leaving) and this one caught my eye some bloke from Liverpool ,now I know they are just comments but :)

Pellegrini is going nowhere, forget what this paper says, one thing i will say is City had to abide by FFP last year but the next transfer window will see some massive signings as City will offload 3-4 players and will have a transfer kitty of around 400 million, now believe it or not as i know they have this in their budget, they have just signed 3 major sponsorship deals which blows any English team out of the water. City knew at the start of the season this was going to be a difficult year and have budgeted for the 2015 season, now i know there is going to be a little backlash of comments here but i have the info. There is going to be one massive signing this summer which will be the biggest transfer in football history and may never be repeated, remember where you read it first.

The figure aside that post isn't as far fetched at it seems

The net spend is the one that matters (for FFP).

Is it? I thought it was the profit/loss after player amortisation and any profit/loss on player sales v their amortised value?
