I have started to read up about this player, Im not convinced by him at all. Real Madrid has a buy back clause in his contract and they havent bothered, also looking at what we have I doubt he will improve us as thats how I would look at it, he doesnt have to be a "world class" or a "big name" for me, just an improvement which in my opinion he isnt.

his buy back clause to real madrid was for a maximum 2 years and that was from the start of the 2009-20010 season it ended 2 years ago!

did anybody hear of Michu before he came to the premiership and look what impact he had with swansea.

the reality is we dont know what impact such a player will bring to our squad untill he is here and most of us are second guessing how he will do.

i trust the guys at the top doing what they are doing we have the best in the business at what they do and bringing in players like Negredo wont be just to fill a space in the squad.

To be fair mate, you hold a valid point and i will take on board your comments, I hope I am wrong with my comments, but I fear that this guy looking at his current record he seem to need time to settle in to a club before we start to see the results, which by that time he will be close to 30.

Like I said I hope I am wrong.

As to you jauganaut you idiot go hide under a rock as your comments where uncalled for and dont deserve a answer.

I'm tempted to buy you an ice cream; maybe, you'll stop crying.
Then I'll probably snatch it from you, and shove it in your face for being as sensitive as a clit.

Negredo won't be a poor player, I'm certain of that. But he certainly isn't the type of signing we need in my opinion. We have 2 good strikers and hopefully Guidetti will prove to be a good back up, but we do still need to replace Tevez with quality. Can't believe we aren't in for Higuain

Thank you!!! Someone who finally agrees with me. Higuain is a steal at £25m

Paul Breen Turner just called him "a big mistake" and "not a bad player but not a top class player"
But if signing for the rags ,would've been a world class signing and a masterstroke,as hiring phil neville and ryan giggs as coaches was described on talkcluelessshite the other day.

Breen Turner knows his onions regarding Spanish footie, I like Negredo but I'm worried a injury to Aguero and we'll have to play Dzeko and Negredo and clearly 2 big men who aren't the quickest doesn't work.

Regarding Giggsy and Nevilley I think it's a shrewd move, Moyes struggled with ego's at Everton. Case in point Royston Drenthe, Van Der Meyde and the rags have their fair share of egos, Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, Young, Nani(although I expect him to move on which is good news for City.), Rooney and Van Persie so getting Giggsy in is a good move. Also Nevilley will be the go to guy, he'll provide a a shoulder for the players Moyes leaves out to cry on. If City appointed Dickov and Horlock as coaches everyone would be raving about it.

Maybe 20 years ago regarding Dickov and Horlock ,it can only be described as a shrewd move if it works ,don't like to keep disagreeing but I really don't think we'll play Dzeko and Negredo together often, maybe in the domestic cups.

Re: Álvaro Negredo Sánchez

hi i am fan of seville fc, my english is very bad, excussme please.. negredo score in the la liga more goals what sergio aguero, negredo score 102 goals in 209 matches, and sergio aguero in the liga score 101 goals in 239 matches.

Negredo score this year 25 goals in one team not first class, in the seville, in one team what dont practice good football, is very dificult score 25 goals in the seville, more easy score 25 goals in the real madrid or barcelona.

I am believe what if u buy negredo buy one great striker, not second class, first class, what score more goals what falcao whitout penalties.

for me better what u dont buy negredo, i preffer what he continue playing in the sevilla fc.

dears friends, bye.

I hope he pays off ....

Aguero, Negredo, Dzeko/Osvaldo, Giudetti

Van Persie, Rooney, Hernandez, Wellshit

Higuain, Podolski, Giroud, Gervinho

Ba, Torres, Lukaku

How do we compare ?

Rags still look stroingest to me although i think Wooney will go Chelski me thinks although Le Arse is probably the easier move to make

Re: Álvaro Negredo Sánchez

When you have quality in wide areas the quality of striker up front doesn't need to be a class A one

Re: Álvaro Negredo Sánchez

What do Luis Suarez, Olivier Giroud, Gonzalo Higuain, Karim Benzema, Wayne Rooney, Fernando Torres, Christian Benteke, Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry, Carlos Tevez, Mario Gomez, Pablo Osvaldo, Michu, Robert Lewandowski, Burak Yilmaz, Rickie Lambert, Gareth Bale, Antonio Di Natale, Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli, Romelu Lukaku, Iago Aspas, Nani, Jermain Defoe, Sergio Aguero, Roberto Soldado, Miroslav Klose, Francesco Totti, David Villa, Danny Welbeck, Lukas Podolski and Luis Muriel all have in common?

They all scored less than Negredo last year
