Álvaro Negredo Sánchez

The guy is just what we need. He stays in the box, good heading, good finishing, decent link up play. Think he would be a excellent signing. £20m would be a great price.

Willing to give the guy a chance. Pellegrini knows him and for that reason I'm behind it.

Navas, Negredo and Fernandinho for £65m? Hardly cheap....

Time will tell. Ronaldo seems cheap to me now and Kaka very expensive and a waste of money.

There is something really interesting about the new signings(Fernandinho, Navas and maybe Negredo): their "relative" low wages.
A lot of people are obsessed about the transfer fees but we usually forget that 10 millions wages could duplicate or triplicate the transfeer fee money paid for a player.

The bloated wage bill we have built up will go down sharply next season and when you couple that with a big increase in revenue then you are looking at a profit for the 2013-14 season. This is good news IMO but many on here will see their arse when it happens.

I'm a bit concerned about his passing completion. 64%. I don't want to see another Dzeko in the squad that struggles massively with basic link up play. Wouldn't want to see us lose our guile as a football team, it's the intricate football we can play that sets us apart from a lot of other teams.

His goalscoring record is good but so is Dzeko's. My choice would've been a Jovetic if we're looking at players in this price range, but hey I'm happy with Negredo if it means we aren't going after Fred.

Your showing your spoilt brat tendencies again

that's ok, you're entitled to have that opinion.

So Aguero, Dzeko and Negredo will score enough goals for us then?

I would imagine they will name a better strike force in the premier league

Rooney, RVP, welbeck

Cavani, torres, Ba

Painful seeing people talk him up now we're linked with him. I guarantee these same people wouldn't have been happy if we were told we were gonna sign 2 Sevilla players this summer.

Always the same. Happened with Garcia too I seem to recall. Even funnier when the whole forum was banging on about needing a 'clinician', whatever the fuck that is, to justify the truly ridiculous price for Cavani (and more importantly beating Chelsea to his signiture), and instead we're getting Negredo, who all of a sudden is also a masterstroke and exactly what the team needs.

To be fair, there were many on here who were condemning the Cavani asking price as ridiculous. I can go back to the late 1950s and can remember many an expensive clanger. Steve Daley, IMHO, was the worst of the lot and his price was ratcheted up almost daily. In contrast, bargain buys like the Goat were the ones we clung to, and maybe Negredo will prove to be the same.

Why don't we just let the Boss have the tools he wants to do the job and then judge?

Il come back to you at the end of the season when we haven't won the league (assuming we go into the season with Aguero Dzeko and Negredo as our 3 forwards). Not one is near clinical in front of goal.

Most people said last summer RVP was overpriced etc etc and tried to play up our chances. Unless we sign a truly world class player this summer we won't win the league. Not slagging the Fernandinho and Navas signings, pleased with them. Negredo is a downgrade on Tevez though whichever way some on here want to try and dress it up.

Tevez loved working the box.

We need someone in the box, this signing seems ideal for that roll, Tevez might be a better player but he's no box man.
