Why don't we just let the Boss have the tools he wants to do the job and then judge?

Il come back to you at the end of the season when we haven't won the league (assuming we go into the season with Aguero Dzeko and Negredo as our 3 forwards). Not one is near clinical in front of goal.

Most people said last summer RVP was overpriced etc etc and tried to play up our chances. Unless we sign a truly world class player this summer we won't win the league. Not slagging the Fernandinho and Navas signings, pleased with them. Negredo is a downgrade on Tevez though whichever way some on here want to try and dress it up.

If the reports are true then Cavani hasn't been plan A since Pellegrini came as he doesn't like him quite as much as Mancini did.. He knows Spanish football inside out, and to be fair, Spainards have got a pretty good track record when it comes to adapting to the Premier League

No bloody wonder. 60 fucking million!!!!!!!!

The guys a decent player but nowhere near that good. He's been hyped up and everyone's jumped on the Cavani bandwagon when in truth be told he should never ever be getting rated anything like he is at the moment. A couple of good seasons in an attacking free flowing napoli team with good players around him.

Realistically, even in the current market, I would not price Cavani much more than 5-7m more than Negredo. He's certainly not worth anything like 40m more.

There's a huge difference between settling for second best and not being plain fucking stupid. Thankfully Pellegrini seems to have that covered.

I think all sceptics should realize this is the man our new manager wants, I'm sure he's qualified enough to make an accurate assessment of Negredo's capacity and potential.

This, we have just employed one of the most respected and sought after managers in world football, I think he just may have a little idea of what he's doing

Apparently some people seem to think that the ideal man for the job is someone who throws around the most cash, in which case we might as well get mark hughes back.

Sky Bet are now 7/2 from 20/1 for Luis Suarez to join Arsenal during the summer transfer window after a run of bets while the Liverpool striker is 5/6 to move to Real Madrid and 3/1 to stay at Anfield. Interestingly William Hill suspended betting on Suarez's future when he was backed down to 5/6 to join Arsenal this evening.

thats who i would like to replace tevez... suarez he would give us some bite in attack

People absolutely kidding themselves if they're in any way excited about this deal. Our strike force wasn't good enough at the start of last season. Since then we've sold 2 players who are vastly superior to Negredo. Thought we would of learnt our lesson last summer.

We need someone in the box, this signing seems ideal for that roll, Tevez might be a better player but he's no box man.

that's ok, you're entitled to have that opinion.

So Aguero, Dzeko and Negredo will score enough goals for us then?

Some people on here are an absolute disgrace. To think not 10 years ago we were more than content with a mid-table finish, and i remember rejoicing when we came 8th all those years ago.

Were buying players that fix our core problems, not just random big money signings that dont want to be here (Robinho) or that the manager wants (Sinclair).

These are players who have probably been scouted by Cheeky and co rigorously and are a perfect fit for the Barcelona-esque system theyre trying to implement. Were buying numerous amounts of incredible young 14-15 year old talents (Manu Garcia, Angel) who will provide us in the future.

Were not the new money big spending club of 2 years ago. Things have changed, get used to it.

Doesnt mean we wont make a marquee signing, but not 1-2 a year.

Soriano is negotiating this deal from New York.

I wonder where Txiki is? House hunting for Manuel or...?
