I'm a fan of Barca (as opposed to a City supporter) but you do that club a disservice on here.

There's a few Barca fans/supporters who have developed an almost rag like sense of entitlement and look down their noses at the rest of the footballing world because they've done it the pure way. It's mainly the younger ones who don't remember the pre Laporta days too well. They're in a for a rude awakening. What goes up must come down ....

They definitely keep making some mistakes at Barca. Carrying on from comments on another thread, I've been a fan of Barca since Cryuff went there so...

Don't mate. Football is a global sport. I'm personally happy for fans from other countries to support our club.

You would say that, you're from salford!!!

Fair point! I did stand out like a sore thumb being a blue in rag central.

Thankfully I've moved to Clitheroe where... dammit! Still full of fucking rags!

A) None of our strikers bagged 30 last season
B) Nonsense, simple as. Zabaleta, Yaya even the likes of RVP...
C) Too many different fee's being dropped and at the end of the day no one except for City and Sevilla will know the fee.

Yeah, because when a player scores more than another for a season they automatically become better. Even if he was better than what we have (he isn't), there are better options out there so it makes no difference.

Zabaleta is only 28 now, Yaya's case isn't down to improvement it's down his role in the team being changed and RVP has always been the same player, it's just that he was forever getting injured so he was unable to put a run of games together.
I'll leave the judgement on whether he is good enough and can improve to the people in charge. You know, as they know more about football that everyone on here put together

Why's he no better or worse than the likes of Edin?

Also, the idea that once a player hits 27/28 they won't improve is ridiculous. The fact you say Zabaleta is only just 28 proves that. His break out season was the one just passed, at the age of 27. The same age as Negredo....

RVP had his best Arsenal season the year he turned 28, second best at 27.
If you're going to leave the judgement on how good someone is to the people in charge then a forum to discuss and give our opinions on possible signings probably isn't for you.

He isn't any better than Dzeko. His movement isn't as good, he isn't as good in the air, he badly struggles with the simplest of passes, he's ridiculously 1 footed, he's even slower than Dzeko and he won't be playing in a team that caters to his lumbering style of play.

As I've said, RVP never had an injury free season till his final one at Arsenal. Zab is just 28, he has no place in a discussion about players improving AFTER 28.

He didn't say after 28.

He said he won't improve at nearly 28, big difference.

And you can have an opinion on a player, but when you claim it as a fact like you have then it becomes a different matter once again.

So Mr Barca.......(fill in as appropriate)

Why don't Barcelona and Madrid pay the taxes they owe the Spanish Government and the people of Spain?

Why have both clubs had decades of political and financial support from Spanish and Catalan Governments, the Councils of both cities, and the numerous Spanish and Catalan Banks?

As for La Liga, it's a joke. Forever to be a 2 team Championship, where all the other teams are there to make up the numbers and nothing more. Just fucking wow! Not only that, but as others have mentioned already, Barcelona and Madrdid have carved up the TV money between themselves. The other La Liga teams get peanuts in comparison. Etc.

Let me tell you straight. People/football fans like you make me sick. You know fuck all about Manchester City Football Club, yet you come on Blue Moon giving it the big one. The same old shite churned out time and again by fans of other clubs since Sheikh Mansour bought City. 5 years on. Boring! It's been done to ducking death. Move on!

You know fuck all about Sheikh Mansour and his plans for the club and East Manchester, which is one of the poorest parts of the UK. Sheikh Mansour has investsed 100's of millions in Manchester City Football Club and East Manchester, with 100's of millions to to follow. Go figure.

While Sheikh Mansour invests 100's of millions, across town the Glazer's have taken £100's of millions out of Manchester United Football Club and from football in this country. So far United have paid out over £750mill in interest charges alone. United still have debts of £370mill. Both those figures are on top of what the Glazers have taken out for themselves. Don't tell me. It's self made money and United aren't onwed by a Sugar Daddy, so it's OK. Good one!

Here's some advice. Go away, read up on why Sheikh Mansour bought Manchester City Football Club, why he invested in the club and the players, and why he's investeing in the area and local community. Once you've done that and you understand, then get back to us. Until then keep your........(fill in as appropriate) to yourself.

Yeah, and chances are he won't. Especially when you consider how rare (if ever) it is that a player goes into a better team at that age and improves. It seldom happens. Pirlo is one, can't think of many more.

If you're going to get all petty about it then read my post again and add a mental note of 'in my opinion' to the end of the sentence comparing Dzeko and Negredo.

On another note, I was reading a thread from a few weeks back on Negredo and I'm sure you were one of the posters that shot down the OP's suggestion of us signing him.

According to Marca today, City's interest is very real and Negredo is #1 striker priority but we haven't made an offer yet. And he is willing to join us if the clubs strike a deal. Sevilla want around £21.5million.

Anything on the Kondogbia situation yet?

I sarcastically questioned the reason for the thread, coming mere minutes after he scored 4 in his last match.

I didn't shoot down the idea of signing him, nor have I stated it would be a good or bad signing in this thread.

That's not "in your opinion". That's stating a fact.

Now it's rarely a player will improve, already an improvement in itself on the idea that it won't happen.
