“Block” feature

Now that we’ve upgraded the forum software, there are more options available in terms of add-ons. One that has been suggested is an extension of the ignore function, which essentially makes it like the Twitter block feature (i.e. you can’t see their posts, and they can’t see yours). Part of me thinks this could be a solution to the problems we face in the Political Forum particularly. Might stop a lot of the silly arguments that plague these threads, but stop them being pulled and allow more sensible discussion to thrive amongst those willing to do so. Any thoughts?

So if you block someone - they are not able to see your posts - do I have that correct?

How do you use it?

I just clicked on a member and expected it to be there as an option along with follow and ignore

It's not actually been implemented yet, I was just looking for feedback on the idea.

Based on the Match Day fooking nonsense, I'm now re-considering my position on this very interesting blocking feature...
I have reconsidered using it liberally on Twitter, as well, this morning.

Uninstalled twatter on all devices and can recommend it. If I want the views of people who largely agree with me I'll visit friends, or if I want angry outbursts I can just take the tv remote off my wife

Some of us got a bit emotional last night.

I wanted to fight Pep lol.

Calmed down today after a round of golf and hoping he signs an extension.
