Definitely consider for a trial period so that those who utilise it can give feedback on it's usefulness and desired purpose. On other forums the only real issues i've seen arise is that some can consider it a 'badge of honour' after being blocked by someone. Agreed - some get obsessed and continually harass - essentially they are like stalkersIt gets difficult when certain posters harass you.

YepI'm sure the mods would find things a lot easier not having to deal with reported posts all the time during heated discussions by simply allowing users to block the issues themselves.
I certainly would not be involved in many/any heated exchanges if I could stop the stalkers from seeing my posts and then posting harassing shit. I have certainly spotted one poster that seems obsessed with you and is frequently harassing you.
For me it is a no brainer - make it available and those that want to use it can and those that don't can choose not to

This has been implemented now, so will just have to see how it goes. Hopefully it'll stop some of the daft arguments that plague certain threads in here. There will probably be a few bugs with it, so give me a shout if you notice anything untoward. Cheers.
