I am actually quite chilled , i trust pep and fit players to get us back on track . We have had so many injuries , i dont understand why that is not computing with the more hysterical blues
I am starting to think that a fair few of the worst ones on here have only been with us since the takeover and cant handle the thought of a barren spell
It will be ok

There are a few issues here. Obviously Rodri is a huge blow, meaning that Kovacic is having to fill in on a role that he's alright at, but not amazing. That would be hard enough, but he's had to do that while he's most commonly lining up alongside a 34 year-old Gundogan who was, with the best will in the world, brought in as a squad player at that age, and one of Rico Lewis, Bernardo Silva or Phil Foden, who can all do a job there, but play more frequently in other positions when everyone's fit. And after all that, now he's injured too.
The defence has had problems, obviously, but if you look at the number of appearances in the more creative positions, is it any wonder that we're struggling for end product at times in the games we dominate? The player who's played the most is also brand new, meaning he's not likely to be on the same wavelength at times. And no-one else other than Haaland has managed more than 5 starts. Is it any wonder patterns of play break down, leading to a quick break that our aging midfield (and Gundo was never great at covering the defence even at his peak) struggle to deal with? And that leaves our defence is exposed to fuck. It's so similar to Pep's first season, it's ridiculous.
And that's before we even mention the players who aren't really fit but are still playing because we have no other options.
However, it is definitely legitimate to criticise the recruitment over the last couple of seasons, which has been a bit more hit and miss than in the past. In particular, we've been a bit too reactive for my liking. In the past, we've brought in the replacement for David Silva or Fernandinho, for example, before they left the club. At other times, we've ended up scrabbling around for replacements for players like Kompany, Aguero, Mahrez, etc. Obviously, you can't win them all, but there are lots of senior players, who have been senior for a while, who I'm not confident we already have replacements for at the club like we often used to (even if it wasn't like-for-like). If KDB and Gundo leave, is there anyone currently at the club to take up the world class mantle in those positions? Do we have a Walker replacement at the club already? Only if you think Lewis is going to become a world class full back.
