“City in crisis”

If our goal is to win the league, and with that goal making sure we have a squad good enough to do it, Pep is the man. But when we have a mediocre squad trying to grind out a top4 finish (which is a situation we currently sit in), Pep is probably not the one best suited for the job.

Personally, dont really care if we finish 2nd or 9th, we either win the league or we dont. Would rather replace the entire squad before thinking about replacing Pep. Ship the players not good enough and give him players on a level fitting a club of our stature. If we are being honest, it's a miracle Pep could even make this squad win last year, we have seen the signs of the squads quality getting worse for some time now without anything being done to stop that.

100% in a crisis now never thought I would say this under Pep, call me what you like, we are in crisis and its going to be difficult to turn this around.
That's my Xmas fucked
Oh dear. Cheer up Blue, we’ve done brilliant stuff the last ten years, we’re just having a break.

Normal service will be restored soon.

Might be going slightly out in a limb here and no doubt others will tell me I’m talking rubbish, but how much does Pep’s right-hand man have to do with the downturn over time? Maybe not a major reason, but perhaps a contributor nonetheless?

I don’t know much about Lillo but I do know that when he stood in for Pep for those few games he looked completely uninspiring, passive, glued to the bench the entire game, expressionless when we’re playing badly, devoid of ability to rouse the players. Same came across in his post-match interviews.

Compare that to Rodolfo Borrell, who I thought carried himself very well and presented an air of calm authority and competence. Our peak seemed to coincide with him then leaving.

Pep obviously trusts Lillo or he wouldn’t be there, but is he receiving the wise counsel and advice he needs? The players certainly need some inspiration from somewhere and he never looks like a man to do it.
Good post, I’ve always thought who is that bloke anyway? Might as well be a program seller!

If this is it..if that was our time.
Would you care.
Yes I'd be pissed off its ended so quickly.
By the way I don't think it is.
But if that was it.
I'd just be grateful for what we've seen.
I thought under manchini was unbelievable
But what we've seen under pep has been simply mind blowing.
Maybe we should just appreciate what we've seen.
If we go back to typical city.
Normal proper fans no tourists.is that a bad thing ?
