“City Matters” fan committee

I didn’t vote.

*Over 3,000 fans took part in the vote, with Angela Worrall and Michael Ash both winning their respective categories.*

There is little or no feedback from the club or the reps publicly.

As PB and other previous reps have stated on here, much of what is discussed is done in private at the meetings, it comes under sensitive and restricted information, and the reps are told not to discuss it in public. Bar sensitive stats and figures, what else could that be?

Meeting Minutes here.

Whoa. These minutes should be withdrawn. They refer to the club as Manchester City. Mistaaaaaaake, surely?

The minutes look like the agenda was reasonable although it’s telling that the Director level from the club ducked out. Folk are quick to want it scrapped but I would rather the reps fought to make it more effective. Better comms to the fan base would be a good start. I remember well the start of the season before last when every fan facing process seemed to be bust. It took hours to get through to supporter services and service was really crap. City Matters were instrumental in highlighting the issues and getting them fixed. I don’t think it’s fair or balanced to say it should be scrapped on the back of this incident which is mainly on the club.

The last City Matters meeting was 3 moths ago in October.

When is the next City Matters meeting and agenda that the fans will be able to access on the OS?

It’s really poor that there’s only been 1 City Matters meeting in the last 3 months according to the clubs OS.

Any updates from the City Matter Reps who post on BM?

They post at election time when they want votes but apart from @Prestwich_Blue I don’t recall anyone ever coming back and keeping us informed.
Fair play to C but very poor form from the rest of the chocolate fireplaces

City Matters is nothing but a gimmick to placate the fans and let them think they have representation. The honest and unpalatable truth is that the club don’t give a flying fuck about the average match going fans. They are a necessary evil. If they would all just fuck off they could get £200 a seat at every game. That is the ultimate objective.

Until City confirm that on then the OS, I don’t believe that. ;-)

Someone must be able to shed some light on this surely? It’s becoming ever more important. You only have to read the Etihad Atmosphere thread to see how frustrated we all are.

One would like to give them the benefit of the doubt but with so little communication how do we know?
Issues such as transport, ticket prices, pre match entertainment, food and drink are all essential elements of the match day experience and if importance to pretty much all fans - these should be non controversial topics that the fans can engage the club about.
So who is doing that in our behalf?
