If it is then goodThis might be a result of City Matters as I've just had a text from the club saying that following feedback received they will text SC holders with the dates that away tickets are going on sale.

The problem with flying Thomas Cook is exactly the one I have. I’m on 16k points. I’d prefer to travel with TC but if I miss out on a ticket I’m left high and dry with little/no time to sort alternatives. So, I’m left with Spike or sorting flights myself. I thiik a compromise needs be made. TC are able to offer 50/100 seats on plane with guaranteed ticket. That will indeed mean 50/100 could go to people without the points. But, it would guarantee the flight goes, something you don’t know with TC until the very last mo. I went with them to Shaktar and it was the week of the game I got confirmation email.I would imagine Schalke will be sold out as both knockout games last season were. Will the TC flight, operating under the old arrangement, be sold out though? It's still on sale at the moment, as is the Spurs one which is offering a guar
But how many people will be going on their own tickets or other peoples' tickets? People are complaining that some tickets under the new arrangement may go to ST holders who don't qualify on points. But if we succeed in reducing the number of second hand tickets then more people will qualify on points than did previously. That's the only linkage I'm making.
But some branches will have tickets. And they have an advantage as they know they can safely book travel. Yes, I agree it's unfair. I'm hoping the club put everything on the table when we talk to them about ticket allocations and the points system.

There’s no other comparable thing - in what other world would you book a flight and not be certain you’re getting on it? Ridiculous. Guess there’s no answer that will please us all.
I hope you don't really mean that...... :-)
We are lucky to have a group of Blues willing to work for the fans on City Matters.

We've got a meeting on Feb 1st to start talking about ticketing specifically, including the website. We've asked the club for a list of things that weren't working as planned and that they've sorted out on the new site. We want to know what's still not right and what we're just going to have to get used to because it's working the way it should. Are there any plans to improve the ticketing site? It's better than last seasons effort, but still loads of room for improvement.
PSG went to Open Sale, but it did definitely sell out.It probably guarantees that we still have 2,500 tickets available away to Shahktar as well. Even PSG away didn’t sell out.
If the initiative is limited to what is intended it will work fine. If there is mission creep then that’s where problems could emerge eg 2 planes
Points of Blue were raising this ten years ago! From the PoB minutes in October 2010: CLUB RESPONSE: Keeping website information up to date is still an issue. We’ll look at sending texts or emails with alerts of when tickets go on sale.
