I must say it seems slightly unedifying to see you ‘laugh out loud’ at restricting the freedoms of fellow supporters.
I’ve had to collect tickets at Sunderland twice because our useless Ticket Office. And one time I ordered six tickets and only realised on the day of the game we only had five, that cost me £48.
I had to get two duplicates for Chelsea last year, that took over an hour, not fifteeen minutes.
- The fifteen minutes you quote are my fifteen minutes and are not within yours, or the club’s, to steal. My fifteen minutes in the pub or with my wife are worth more than anything you or the club could gift.
- As someone who attends a lot more away games than the average fan I’m more likely to to be checked than you or others, law of averages.
- Going off the shambles at Celtic, Paris and Bucharest it will take much more than 15 minutes and is an inconvenience I could do without
- What right have you to suggest that I should be made to carry an ID and be checked anyway? Carrying ID is not a legal requirement in this country. Something that would stick in the throat of your forefathers as much as it does me.
- You haven’t mentioned whether this will be for everyone. What about other groups will be doing this, or just the plebs as usual?
