“The work of God”?

I’m going to read it again and come back on this point, off memory and what it states there is just a mention of war, rather than specifics and there were many revolts.

It’s nothing of the fucking sort, fruitcake.

An absence of a belief in X does not have to be scientific, philosophical nor faith based. It’s. An. Absense. Of. Fucking. Belief. In. A. Specific. Thing.

You not believing in; Father Christmas or fairies at the bottom of the garden or unicorns are not faith based. They’re not philosophical. It’s not scientific. It’s just a fact tit don’t believe in said things as you’re not 7, a mouth breather or mental (for the most part).
Why are you so angry?

I have a lovely jumper and new pair of binoculars that proves Santa is real.

I prayed we would best Barca in the CL, Got fucking mauled 7.0. The prosecution rests.

For the record, atheism comes with attachments, around views on morality and a scientific view of how the universe came to be.

You don’t believe there’s a higher morality than your own brain, you believe the universe came to be by random chance.

Whether you admit it or not, it is a belief system.

Atheism tends to suggest particular views, but it doesn't actually denote any beyond the non-existence of any god. For example, you'd be hard-pushed to find an atheist who believes the universe is intelligently designed, but there's no reason you couldn't be atheist and for example believe in the simulation theory of the universe. That person would be both an atheist and also believe that the universe was designed for us by a more intelligent being. Similarly, I don't think there's any particular link between atheism and moral relativism. Nor would most atheists recognise the claim that your own brain is the moral authority and that there's nothing higher than that. The majority of atheists, like religious people when you actually get down to it, would recognise morality as a collective agreement between all of the members of society. We don't recognise the brain of the psychopath as being valid when their brain tells them to go on a killing spree. Most of Sam Harris' work outside of his religious commentary is arguing that morality is something that can be defined philosophically, for example. Other atheists might disagree, but neither view is defined by their atheism.

Atheism has everything to do with science, it claims there is no intelligent design to the universe, that’s a scientific, philosophical and faith based belief system.

No I was, I’ve been an atheist most of my life, I talked about my conversion a few pages back, my parents are agnostic.

If someone commits a murder and there’s a billion theories about who did it and why, does it mean the actual truth isn’t the truth because of other theories?
Atheism is disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods. That's nothing to do with science. It's to do with not believing in fairytales
