“The work of God”?

And child abusers maybe more inclined to pick teaching, the scouts or being care workers but it doesn’t mean a granny knot is responsible for pedophillia

That wasn't the point i was making though, That part is obvious for any one to see.

But those organisation's have been far less inclined to send any know sex offender continue to work for them, in most cases covering it up and moving them out of the country they are wanted in. That happened all the time in the Catholic church, and im sure many others. who deals with independent safeguarding for the church ??

Bad people get into all walks of life you think without religion these things wouldn’t happen, maybe we discard the BBC based on this or football clubs. Your point isn’t relevant to the topic at hand.

By the way just because someone works for the church it doesn’t always follow they even believe in God or the Bible for that matter.

Nice Vicarage with big manicured gardens, a good living bursary and shed loads of donations, so whats not to like. Also people speak to you in a soft tone as if you actually were the living god, so I would love to be minister. I even wager they have Sky TV, BT and Amazon for the footie. Happy are those called to this magnificent supper. No minimum wages here.

Actually, most of the big vicarages have been sold off and the vicar lives in a more modest house. Diocesan bishops, of course, still have a palace!
And the average priest earns not much.

Too cynical. Pretty sure the training for the priesthood is pretty demanding. The gardeners looking after the grounds of these palaces might not necessarily be Christians though

Your wrong. Most vicarages and priest homes are still palatial in the extreme. What pray is earning not so much in preacher terms in these times of austerity, that most ordinary sausauges find themself flung unto. All the preachers homes in our hamlets are very grande and hardly on their arses. If I had my way I would frock them all in hessian and send them out on their miserable hides to carry out the good work of our lord. I would also house them in accomadation best beffiting a servant of god. Maybe a 1 bedroom council flat where they can spread the word of Jesus and live a life of frugality. It is easier for a rich man to pas through the eye of a needle than enter the kingdom of heaven. A bigger bunch of hypocrites you could ever wish to meet. Amen

And a congregation that do all the donkey work for you. Get a few sermons off the Internet and put your feet up, what's not to like Bob?

And bake you pies and buns every sunday. Proper jolly boys outing is that ministry lark. Have another cake father...go on, go on, go on, go on.
