1 goal lead,are you happy ?

Bearing in mind that Utd score 99.9% of their goals in the last 10 minutes plus Fergie time, Mancini was right to strengthen our defence towards the end. If he had left tired legs on, Utd would have probably scored and 2-2 would have been a poor result, especially in view of the away goals rule. My only slight complaint is that Ireland should have come on instead of Benjani, but it didn't prove costly. We ought to rest Tevez, Bellers and NDJ until next week.

* Happy with the win
* Happy with the chances we had at set pieces - we missed Ade or RSC to head in a couple of those corners - Bellers corners were excellent - caused the scum all sorts of problems
* Happy with the way Bellers dominated Raphael - ANOTHER 2 GOALS NEXT WEEK, PLEASE, CRAIG.
* Unhappy with the way Evra dominated sweep and Rooney cut through our defence like a knife through butter.
* Happy with Mancini's tactics of packing the defence in the last 15 mins and securing the win.
* Delihted for Tevez - he is a goal scroig machine right now and will be totally "up for it" at the swamp next week - hat trick, anyone?. Did anyone lese see how often Ushited had 2 or 3 players on him (creating space for others) the way that Robbie used to when he had an interest in playing for us?

Next week, Ireland needs to play, plus I would play Viera, and Adebayor.

PS - If the Glazers's bond issue is undersubscribed, could our owners please offer them 100 Bar for Rooney and Evra to ease their financial owes?

i'm happy with the result, but not too happy with the style we won it.The midfield was non existant at times.Hope that Viera will make a difference in the second leg. Also the sustitutions were strange towards the end of the game.

yes any lead is good, but they were there for the taking after the second goal, i dont understand taking carlos off he was running riot also bringing sylvinho on both subs put us under pressure. but we beat the rag bastards just hope we dont go to the samp and sit back cos that would be a big mistake

I also thought taking Tevis off was a big mistake and could of cost us. It seemed to lift the rags who then pressed us for the rest of the game. I am sure we could have added another with Carlos and gone to the swamp with a two goal cusion. I pray that we dont look back next thursday and ask "If Only"

To tell the truth NO, I dont think it will be enough I think we needed a two lead. We just seemed to sit so deep inviting them on for the last 10min.

I think it's enough they will have to come out attacking which will play straight into Citys hand :)

Utd 2-2 City

I think 1 goal could be enough as long as we dont go looking for a draw. Also, with Adebayor back for the second leg, do you drop someone? or leave Emmanuel out?

After going 1-0 down then yes.

Thought the tactics for a home leg were a bit negative, i expect Mancini to play a similar formation next week and i think we can score there so they will possibly need 3.

We looked tired at the end, I would rest everyone and send in the real reserves against Scunthorpe (worth the risk). Also Rags play Arsenal away the weekend after the game so fergie may have one eye on that. Its good for us that Rags have a game this weekend , even if it is Hull at home

We should also have a couple of players back.
