Right, get ready for the most confusing family going with regards to football teams;
Alan was a tiny bit of a blue. My Dad took him to Oakwell in 1981 for his one and only match in the League Cup. Barnsley 1 Typical City 0.
My Dad is a blue and season ticket holder in the South Stand with our kid and their sister is a blue whose 1st ever match was 4-0 v Newcastle when Bell made his comeback.
Alan's son is a red. I was trying my best to convert him only last night at the memorial in Whalley Range.
Alan's older brother is a Blackburn Rovers fan.
Their Dad (my Grandad) was a West Ham fan who moved to Eccles when he came out of the army.
I agree with what some are saying about football being an escape. I do believe something will happen at a forthcoming match though.
