Twitter full of rags mocking the fact that tickets are still on sale for tonight's game (although it looks like it will be close to a sell out)

Let's give them a little history lesson. The current CL started in the 92/93 season but they only entered the following year.

Their first home match was on 29th September 1993 against Honved of Hungary. In a stadium with a capacity of 45,000 they got 35,781.

Feel free to remind them of this.

I genuinely do not care what they think of our attendance.

If that is all they can concentrate on then that shows we are making progress and that they are acknowledge us as a clear threat to their ambitions.

Anyway PB, don't be silly. The rags don't even care about us, not one bit y'know!

Who cares what the rags think of our crowd? Let them be obsessed with us,they should be more concerned with their own match tonight. Just as we should be looking forward to our first EVER Champs League game. I for one cannot wait.

Well I would rather have 10,000 empty seats than 10,000 plastic foreigners there!

Anyway I couldn't give a shit if there was loads of empty seats because I know for those that will be there will be as up for it as I am.

Anyway it will be close to a sellout.

C'MON CITY!!

Also try Sept 1992 - UEFA CUP V Torpedo Moscow. Attendance 19,998 (City have never had a European crowd that small).

I generally ask them if they were one of the 7,434 that turned out for Norman Whiteside's testimonial.

Usually does the trick.

Just say to them "so you were one of the 35.700 in the 3/4 full stadium of Debt then? first time you were in champs league! Or say we will have more fans in our first champs game than you did! Very short memories some scum have

These rags on twitter are the same ones who live in Surrey, pose as City fans on Napoli's fan website to start trouble, couldn't even point to Manchester on a map, and then mock our attendance. they must think Irony is something that gets creases out of clothes.
