Problem is we never have that much space in usual games for him to exploit. No surprise he has looked at his best for us v United and when real where pushing forward to get a goal. Two games where he had plenty of space to exploit. He is very ineffective against a deep block Sterling is the same

I think that will change when we, hopefully, sign Haaland.
Teams won't be able to crowd us out, which should allow our wide players to take on the fullbacks.

Depends what he's being asked to do. I remember him winning us a few tight games against incredibly defensive sides in the past (a 1-0 against Rafa's Newcastle sticks out particularly) because his movement in behind was exactly what was needed to break down a deep block

He is largely ineffectual when picking up the ball 40 yards from goal against a deep, well-well-organised defence though

Still gonna need him to be lifting the PL come season end, the bitterness from Villa fans and press is so annoying.

It was a mistake spending 100M on him, that is clear to all except for a few.

We needed someone who could score goals and he is not the one nor looking like becoming one.

Get him in midfield next season with Foden, de Bruyne, Bernardo, and a more mobile midfielder when needed, and he'll flourish. It's like a repeat of Mahrez's first season.

Not this season, but if Haaland signs our style of play will change to accomodate him so i expect to see more pace on the flanks with more crosses put into the box, which should suit him.
