Felt like he was trying too hard, didn't look like his typical game.

I mean who cares though, it's gonna take time for him to gel and he wasn't even playing with our starting 11.

Hopefully he doesn't feel the need to play rushed, play your way Jack, just in City's style lol.

Looked like a player who doesn't know how we play yet. Which considering he's had solely one training session is obvious.

A few very promising moments.

He’s a dribbler, they lose the ball as it’s the hardest thing to do. Final 3rd is the place to do it and that’s where he tried it. Greatest player ever Messi gets tackled a lot because he dribbles rather than playing 10 yard sideways passes all game. Our best player KDB loses the ball quite often because he tries the killer pass more than most.

In the final 3rd I have no problem with our forwards trying to dribble and make something happened.

But for Jack it looked very "forced" for lack of a better word. It didn't even look like his typical dribbling at Villa and England. Hard to explain it.

I've seen him dribble smarter.

Granted it wasn't the game to set the standard but he's going to have to very quickly up his tenacity off the ball. Pep won't tolerate that casual rodri-esque jog waiting for us to regain possession. No passengers here. No reason to believe he won't tune in quickly once the rest of the squad get upto speed and show him what's expected.

You could already see the Grealish effect with all the kids in Grealish shirts and doing their hair like his. He’ll pay for himself over the next 6 years.
