Finishing aside I thought he had a good game.

Maybe needs to inject a bit more urgency at times - decision making and the right run to make when in possession and breaking on the counter.

Good signs though.

You don’t have to ignore his finishing but you also don’t have to beat him up over it. Some good saves and close shaves.
He was excellent.

Just being fair. As I say his overall play was good - especially interplay with Foden and Gundogan - but if that finishing continues I’m sure there’ll be questions raised. I don’t think it will continue mind.

Next season especially I think he’ll really hit his stride (as is tradition with players in their second season under Pep), I wouldn’t say being critical on a performance thread is “beating up”.

This lads gonna be unbelievable for us for the next 6 to 8 seasons, incredible what he will learn from this manager and team. Thought he was great and the only one he should score was the header, it will come.
