Even more amazing when the player himself has said he has under performed.

Who is claiming otherwise?

Of course he has underperformed in comparison to the player he was at Villa, but i suspect, given Pep's instruction.....we will never see that maverick talent again.

You have also replied to a comment that focuses on a different point.

Pep's instruction may be a factor but not as much as people make out.

Jack Grealish is nothing more than a very good player, he was the same at Villa, a very good player, nothing more.

Opposition fans seek any possible target: The owners will get bored; Pep won't come; he can't do it in the PL; KDB is overrated; Foden will be a 6 year benchwarmer; Emptihad; no Academy players; sportwashing; no CL; dirty oil money. Now the owners aren't bored, KDB is one of the greatest PL players ever, Pep can do it in the PL, Phil is one of the greatest young players in the world game and we are financially sorted, Jack is a target to pursue. You cannot pursue Erling, at least not with any realism, nor Alvarez or Akanji because of their fees, so Jack is key: he's ruined at City, that's what you get for leaving Villa, no goals and assists, stifled by Pepball...yada, yada, yada.
He's doing fine. The world hasn't been set alight but we are champions and he is a solid contributor. What we don't need are a load of City fans joining in the pile on because he has been identified as a target of our own, just like Plodri who has become Godri, or Gundo, or FFS Mahrez.

You are right Grealish is an excellent player, he will never be world class, but he will do a good job for City and in time he will prove to be a decent signing. At £100m we overpaid for him, but at the end of the day if Pep is happy with his performances and his overall contribution to the team that is all that matters for the player himself.

Reading jack's comments last few days how can any blue not want this lad to succeed. Despite his reputation he always comes across as genuine and humble and speaks more honestly than most players. He knows he could play better I for one am right behind him!!

We as fans always look for a target of the opposition, is that not what football is all about?

What's the difference in us taking the piss out of Sancho?

He was signed for well over his true value, is he a very good player? Without a doubt for me, will he like Grealish prove value for money? The jury is very much out on both but only time will be their judge.
