Needs to do better, simple as that. I am sure he knows that and also Pep.

The critics in here have lost all sense of perspective and have lost the plot. Reminds me of people voting for brexit. So wrapped up in the false rhetoric they can’t stop themselves.

Awell, carry on attacking a city player.

Check the league, check the results check the C/ L final table. Yes Pep still knows what he’s doing without listening to any of the advice of all the bluemoon keyboard experts.Carry on Pep.

My reply was to @oldius , because he understands the unity of team. I would readily agree the end product from Grealish was not great yesterday. He failed to spot or try a few passes that would have lead to very dangerous situations.
Most of the City team have posters who dislike or constantly criticise them whatever their performance, that seems to be the level for many people. Thus for some KDB is a liability, Ederson cannot save any shot, Dias and Rodri are too slow and on and on...
Oldius was recognising the collective, the end team product, I was letting him know I agreed with that sentiment. Each member of the squad is trusted by Pep, that is why they are there, they share the workload and have a great team mentality, Pep has created that and deserves praise for it, they play like yesterday, for him.
The forum is full of posters disagreeing with Peps tactics, use of particular players, team selection etc. That's OK it's a forum for opinions, personally I side with Pep, he wants the ball in constant motion, not players dribbling in their own half or trying to take on 3 defenders when receiving the ball on the by line.

Some want Grealish to play like he did at Villa, dribbling in his own half, drawing fouls. Pep would never condone that. It wouldn't fit in with his philosophy at all.

The price tag skews all debate, he was not a Superstar before he came , he had only scored 16 premier league goals.
"he was not a Superstar before he came"

He was a huge star in the Premier league, he was the talk of every football fan, pundit and media outlet in the country on every back page and a lot of front pages.

I personally never got the hype with his time at Villa, whenever we played them he looked nothing more than a decent player but that's a personal view, but to say before he came here he was not seen as a huge star is wrong.

Steered clear yesterday because I was buzzing with a fantastic win and I knew that the same crowd would rather spend their time slagging off a player than praising the team and there’s no way I was letting the cunts ruin my good mood.
That said, it didn’t quite work for him against Fulham. He huffed and puffed but it wasn’t his best performance by any stretch. Was also nowhere near as bad as the vitriol on here would suggest but you know there’s a section of BM who need their scapegoats.

What's your obsession with bringing up pep? We all know he's a genius, no one ever has disputed that. This is a forum for voicing your own opinion, it has nothing to do with pep.

You've spent more time talking about pep than you have about jack.

Reminds me of Nasri. Has the ability, just far too happy playing it safe and tidy so ends up not trying to influence the game.

"Superstar"
To me that is someone who has been an international since being a teen. For a forward someone who scores and assists consistently. A Superstar plays at the highest level, and is a match winner or constantly has an impact on the outcome of games and titles.

You may have seen him as a Superstar and that is fine with me, but he doesn't tick the boxes of a Messi, Ronaldo, Aquero or KDB for me and never did at Villa or at City.
The media hype was immense and he had a certain following for sure, but we will need to disagree with the Superstar status.

Is that not what Grealish was at Villa? Titles apart, he was a superstar in that club and a constant match winner, when they were relegated , he almost dragged them up single handedly and then continued that form and match winning performances in the Prem'.

He was also picked to play for his country.

The term "superstar" is not one I like in anyone but Grealish was an established English star player.

Jack has not yet scored 20 Premier league goals.
He made his England debut at 25.
We just have different criteria on Superstars. Not saying your wrong , if he is a Superstar in your eyes , fair enough.

Hes totally doing his job in ball carrying and gaining those 20 yards and laying it off , he is very good at assisting the assister.

BUT!!! …. But there was 2 opportunities yesterday where he cut in and it slightly opened up for the shot, but he laid again. Thats where i want him stepping up.
Confidence lacking? I so want him to do well and although hes doing just fine i do want him to do a little more
