I disagree. He's easily been our best player all season.

Like a lot of people on here I really want him to do well for the team. If you were to take a clip of all his attacking moments then would all be pretty much the same. Run stop turn in fall over repeat.

Don't judge him when it's 11vs10
Don't judge him by Goals and assists
Don't judge him when other players where off

Bar is really really low to judge jim
Don't judge him when we playing a dead rubber game, because he has nothing to play for or prove.
Don't judge him before the WC, because he doesn't want to risk getting injured.
I am actually being serious. I used to be like the rest of you here but I have had an epiphany. I see things clearer now. He's simply the best.
He's simply the best. Better than all the rest!

A players recent form doesn't matter when it comes to jack grealish.

An attackers goals or assists don't matter when it comes to jack grealish.

There's not a lot of things that do matter to jack grealish on this forum. Only on bluemoon would you hear a 100 million pound attacker isn't playing well because of the left back, or the right attacker Mahrez.

If anyone else had signed a 100 million pound attacker and the most common thing said about him was ' kept the ball well' blue moon would be ripping the fuck out of them . Look at the stick Nunez gets and he isn't anywhere near his ' second season' .

My reply was to @oldius , because he understands the unity of team. I would readily agree the end product from Grealish was not great yesterday. He failed to spot or try a few passes that would have lead to very dangerous situations.
Most of the City team have posters who dislike or constantly criticise them whatever their performance, that seems to be the level for many people. Thus for some KDB is a liability, Ederson cannot save any shot, Dias and Rodri are too slow and on and on...
Oldius was recognising the collective, the end team product, I was letting him know I agreed with that sentiment. Each member of the squad is trusted by Pep, that is why they are there, they share the workload and have a great team mentality, Pep has created that and deserves praise for it, they play like yesterday, for him.
The forum is full of posters disagreeing with Peps tactics, use of particular players, team selection etc. That's OK it's a forum for opinions, personally I side with Pep, he wants the ball in constant motion, not players dribbling in their own half or trying to take on 3 defenders when receiving the ball on the by line.

Some want Grealish to play like he did at Villa, dribbling in his own half, drawing fouls. Pep would never condone that. It wouldn't fit in with his philosophy at all.

The price tag skews all debate, he was not a Superstar before he came , he had only scored 16 premier league goals.

You seem to have this idea that the success of the team is most important thing and that players are just a cog in the greater mechanism.

You could not be more wrong . For the average poster it is a yes or a no. Likey or no likey. Don't start putting team performance before the individual.

Together... how would the pre match and game time posters handle that concept, when Pep picks all the wrong players in all the wrong positions. As Mr Royle in the Royle family would say "Together my arse."
Fair play, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic here.

"Grealish has been awful for England"

Simply not true. 90% of his games in England shirt he was very good and several times MOTM.

Great vs Belgium Iceland Romania Czech... Changed the game vs Germany twice. Excellent against Hungary home and away in WCQ. And so on. Perhaps only lukewarm disappointing one was against Italy but it was a very dead event given SG tried new tactics.

You are not an England fan perhaps. I watched every England game in the past 2 years at least twice and I know what I am talking about.

I’m not an England fan no, but I am
a keen spectator.

Don’t think he’s ripped up any trees for England, he’s 27 with a bout 10(?) starts for an average England side. Many England ‘fans’ wouldn’t even put him in their 23.
